Agree, if you have the money to hire, you should have an emergency fund. However, if someone loses their job that emergency fund will be going to pay necessary expenses and they probably won't spend the money to hire an escort. I have been fortunate enough to not suffer a loss in income and have a decent amount saved but if I lost my job I sure wouldn't be hiring.

 

Same with escorts. Full time escorts with no savings also scare me A lot of times it's all under the table money with no overhead.

The highway construction workers here in CA all seem to be out doing projects, because the traffic on the freeways is so light that it is a good time to do it. Snowbird neighbors of mine here in Palm Springs decided to return to their home in Seattle a couple of weeks ago, and they said the emptiness on Interstate 5 through CA and OR was eerie--they saw more construction workers than travelers.

Sorry to hear about your paycuts gentlemen. Hopefully it won't last long. We just got word that we will have to do unpaid furlough days next year...one a month. Not sure exactly what that means in percent less pay, but I think it's a couple percentages off. Annoyingly, they are mostly just taking formerly paid holidays and turning them into unpaid furlough days so I don't really get many more days off work. But I understand why they need to do this and am grateful that I still have a job as well.

40 hours x 52 weeks = 2080 hours

8 hours/mo x 12 months = 96 hours

96 hours divided by 2080 hours = 4.6% drop in “pay” but you have 12 days off, too.

What were your symptoms?

While still cautious, I suspect there's a possibility I was sick with it in early/mid January. I attributed it to a bad bottle of wine, but as I recall had fever, vomiting, diarrhea, sweats, chills, fatigue over about 5 days, felt better for about 5 days, then again sick but a bit worse for 5 days more.

Could still be the wine but who knows?‍♂️.
