Cheaper rents in Cleveland, for sure, but there's no money there. He's too good looking to position himself in dullsville.

I've been seeing some YouTube videos with Paul Mascal and Josh O'Connor in conversation. My goodness what chemistry they have together. Apparently, a great friendship blossomed from their working on this film. Maybe it's just me and my fantasies, but the sexual energy they share is really striking. On top of that, they really seem to enjoy making each other laugh, and they laugh endlessly. It is so much fun to have a friend who makes you laugh. IMO, laughter can be such a sex thrill. Incredibly seductive.
I'm looking forward to seeing this movie.

d.anders got a reaction from BSR in Kiss of the Spider Woman
It is shocking how poorly this movie has performed. Maybe it's J-Lo fatigue. Maybe it's the quirky story. Has to be depressing for all the creatives involved. Everyone works so hard at their craft, and nobody goes to buy a ticket to see it. The burden does fall on J-Lo, since she was cast as the star draw.

Good luck with that request. There are way too many guys here who require some sort of guarantee. Many also have a laundry list of things, included in their fantasy, that, if not part of the service, will cause great anxiety. Personally, I have never learned how to control human behavior, especially the behavior of a horny gay man. Like I said, good luck with that.

Looks like Las Vegas is really suffering.

The movie makes some sense as a stand-alone, but it's a movie made for the fans of the series. If you haven't seen the series, the flashbacks won't make any sense.
Like others, I have watched the series many times. It's a wonderful thing to binge on during a cold night and with a mug of hot chocolate at the ready.

d.anders got a reaction from + claym in Is it common for providers to ask for a client’s pic?
I just wanted to say, this is a very thoughtful response. I'm assuming BFE stands for boy.friend.experience. You definitely exhibit this skill in your talented writing. There are a few statements that stand out for me:
People evaluate looks all the time, especially gay men. You don't even have to visit the photo galleries here to experience the intensity. Evaluation is with us every day of our lives. Hello Grindr. There seems to be no escaping it, especially now in this Instagram age. Many of us have become socially wired to be insecure about our looks, especially as aging gay men. I applaud you for sharing your approach on how to rid us all of this hurtful scourge to our precious self-esteem.
When I worked in corporate, we had code names for certain types of clients. Maybe someone should start a "Crazy" thread, where hopefully serious providers can share their honest definition of that word with us. List every detail that qualifies. The trouble is, one man's crazy can easily be distorted by an impatient, uncaring, non-professional. For example, I have 4 important (to me) questions that I usually ask. The provider may not realize it, but all my questions have to do with my personal health concerns, and nothing to do with sex. I often feel lucky if I get 1 answer, and some have branded me crazy for asking more than 1 question. LOL.
This sentiment is very touching, and shows a lot of heart. I wish I knew more people in this life who had a lot of heart.
Photos of my current naked body do scare me, because I remember just yesterday what I once looked like. I no longer "fear" the provider response, I've had to learn how to accept rejection. I prefer to accept rejection on my terms.
I also don't want anyone feeling bad for me, because I have accepted my old age, and all the vane suffering that comes with it. I view acceptance as a triumph to be celebrated, not leaving anyone feeling bad.
@DamizzonNYC, thanks a lot for offering such a great post.

I just found out it got cancelled. So sorry to hear that. It would have been an uphill climb to try a different direction without Linda Lavin.

Sounds a little too exuberant to me, but it's been a long time since I experienced a sexual first. Or maybe I'm just too old now to get overly excited about anything. When I hear someone mention "unlocking the gates of heaven," I think about death. Not a visit with Simon Suraci.

d.anders got a reaction from Rod Hagen in The Morning Show on Apple TV
I was gifted with Apple TV yesterday, and I started to watch The Morning Show. I was blown away by the first two episodes of Season 1. Smart writing, good acting, great angst and tension, and terrific chemistry between Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon. Can't wait to see more. I'm surprised Aaron Sorkin wasn't part of the creative team. Seems like something he would have jumped on.

I am head-over-heels in love with this show. I'm halfway through Season 2, and I have so much to say. I need to find time to write. Season 1 knocked me clear off my LazyBoy.

Just finished Episode 2 in Season 3. Holy shit! I am still trying to find the words.
Here is a miracle, this show has been around since 2019. All of my friends have seen it, and they know my hate for Apple. Not one spoiler has come to my attention in all this time. I have even seen some brief interviews with some of the stars, the last of which was Jon Hamm. Lots of tempting build-up, but no details. Everything I have seen has been a complete surprise.
This roller-coaster ride is top shelf. It seems every other episode, my stomach is my throat. It's so nice to see that quality can be found on TV.

That's probably true. But here's the ugly truth, experience brings forth the good and the bad. An inexperienced gay guy needs to get smart about the bad, so he can make better choices for himself.
I'm all for sexual exploration, but when we're talking about the extremes, I highly recommend an inexperienced guy does his research, like having a conversation with a gay doctor if you can find one (not easy). I have too many gay friends in my age circle (over 50) who are now experiencing serious health issues with their rectums. Some of these guys are in agony, and most people don't want to talk about this stuff. Be careful what you wish for.

I really enjoyed this movie. As some have pointed out, it may not be the most thrilling chapter in terms of new storylines, but as a faithful fan of the series, you honestly couldn’t ask for more. It provides a true sense of closure for these beloved characters, and the ending is both beautiful and deeply emotional. For those who have followed Downton Abbey from the beginning, it feels like the perfect farewell.

Obviously, if you're just going to a guy for sex, then perhaps no skill is required. If your sex partner takes an elbow to your back or neck, pretending to know massage, and you end up in an Emergency Room, then the risk responsibility is yours to own.
If you mishandle food and poison me, I suppose I could sue you if I survive. Living in NYC, I've certainly had my share of salmonella attacks from various restaurants, who are licensed. So, yes, there is risk even among professionals. Life is risky. A lot depends on how much you wish to gamble.
I wouldn't mind playing in bed with John and Peak. I'm sure I'd have a lot of fun. Not sure I would let either massage me.

I'm glad Adolescence won so much. That was not easy to make, and it was very good.
There has been a lot of buzz around The Pitt. I have too many medical issues to be interested in watching more on TV.
I was curious about The Studio. I'm just not much of a Seth Rogen fan.
The Emmy show itself was pretty lame. Had no idea who the host was, and didn't find him funny at all.

d.anders got a reaction from thomas in Downton Abbey #3 - The Grand Finale
I enjoyed it. I'm glad I saw it. I would watch it again. Some funny lines, but the story is not particularly exciting. After what Henry 8th did with his 6 wives, the fuss over divorce in 1930's seems incredibly silly. Oh those foolish Brits. The gay subtext was enjoyable. Mary's hair was a disaster, but Lady Edith looked quite lovely. Many of the actors are looking old and bloated. Pretty incredible this ensemble has stuck together for so long. Just goes to show how bad business is these days.
The review in the New York Time is well written and more humorous than the movie.

The cost of seeing a dentist is insane now, for both sex workers and customers.
