The Montreal based guy I referenced couldn't show because 1) the weather is bad, 2) took "bad" brugs, 3) had to go to the hospital, 4) wasn't into it.
Yeah, definitely had a lot going on, too.,

That strikes me as a specious argument. We wanted the same rights as others, so that means there should be no hotline to deal with gay issues, suicide or otherwise?
If a deeply closeted gay teen is contemplating suicide because of shame regarding his sexuality, doesn’t it make sense that he would be more willing or likely to get help from someone he views as having a similar experience?  Hence the gay suicide hotline.

When you’re scared to death that someone will find out, the only person you want to tell is someone else who is gay. That’s my view at least, from someone who grew up in the Bible Belt, and was constantly told that I was going to Hell.

I would also keep in mind that most of these guys are obv not from the States and are v likely v worried re everything going on w/ ICE, etc., right now. Some are also working multiple jobs (1 told me he’s a landscaper AND a bartender for a catering company as well), so their lives are by no means easy. I can’t blame any of them for trying to make an extra buck (while still making it an enjoyable experience).

Having been ripped off by a Montreal guy i had already met (said he needed cash urgently and woulld double my time for the next session if I paid in advance) I will never ever ever pay anything in any form in advance -- and hopefully be a better judge of character goiing forward, too!

Try not to be hard on yourself—you’d already met him and been intimate with him. That’s a level of trust some people would take as a green light. He took advantage of a moment where you showed vulnerability, and that says a lot more about him than it does about you. Hopefully it sharpens your instincts going forward, not hardens your heart. ❤️

If someone says they have a "policy" of being paid in advance, I simply respond that that is a dealbreaker for me and ask if that’s a "dealbreaker" for them. If they say "yes", then I thank them for their time and I move on. I’d say about 50% say it’s a dealbreaker for them and about 50% agree to meet without being paid upfront. If they do decide to "break their policy" for me, then I make sure the money is clearly visible when they come into the room. That seems to be enough to set the skeptics at ease. I’ve had some great times with some guys who have broken their policy for me, so I think it’s worth at least asking.
I will tell you that refusing to pay an upfront will piss some guys off. I’ve certainly been spoken down to, berated, and even threatened for refusing to pay ahead of time. The funny thing is, the more agitated a guy gets, the more I think he’s a scammer, and the more I think I just dodged a bullet. So it’s a win-win in my book.

Questionable reports? You are the only one questioning them.
If you don't like Puck, Bozo is eagerly anticipating for you to cite your pristine sources that CBS was not losing 40 million bucks a year on the Late Show.
    Bozo won't hold his breath.
Your argument makes no sense. The WNBA loses 50 million bucks a year, yet their players keep getting raises. To Shari Redstone, a multi-billionaire, it was worth losing $40 million a year (if you know anything about her, you can figure out why this was).
Moral of this story, faux comedians with hateful rhetoric and twisted minds have ruined late night TV. Let the dominos start to fall.....
This was not only a sound financial decision, but also a looooooong overdue one!

Apparently, according to (questionable) reports, the market has spoken since 2020 when viewers started tuning out and never returned.
If the show is losing $40M, and has been since the pandemic (allegedly), then CBS would have canceled it years ago. CBS has been around for over 70 years - they are not a start-up network. They don't keep something in production and continue throwing good money after bad.  Network shows are cancelled abruptly when the ratings are low, advertisers pull out and the network starts taking a loss. They don't keep the show running for 5+ years and continue to lose money.

Whenever I get requests like this, I always chalk it up as an immediate loss.
If I give the money, I’ll never get the services promised and I’ll never get the money back.
If I say no, the relationship is done.
True whether it’s escorts, business associates, friends, or family.
Having said that, sometimes I say yes, and sometimes I say no.

I thought I was not vulnerable to scams like these and then it happened to me, too
A guy I had met and had a good time with - messaged me while overseas "in distress" and needed help - asked if I would prepay for a session that he would deliver when he returned - I sent the $, and he has since flaked on me something like 4 times - seems to have a lot of drama in his life, eh?
Lesson learned - I rationalize it as having overpaid for that one session and that red flags exist for a reason.

You paid a deposit for an experience. Looks like you got one. Chalk it up to “life” and move on. Sending a deposit to an unknown is always a huge risk

I’d like to propose a small but important amendment to the forum’s Rule 1 on Civility. The current rule reads:
“1. Civility: Conduct yourself in a way that respects this site and all who come here. Hate speech/hateful speech, name-calling/labelling, inciting or engaging in arguments, publicly shaming, and attacking other members, groups of members, or people who are the topic of discussion is prohibited. Remember: you may criticize a person’s opinion but don’t attack the person.”
I propose inserting the following clarification just before “Remember”:
Unacceptable speech includes conscious or unconscious aiding, abetting, supporting, or endorsing disparaging and/or judgmental remarks concerning race, color, religion, sex (including transgender status, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), national origin, age, bodily physicality (including height and weight), disability, or genetic information.
This clarification doesn’t alter the intent of the rule—it reinforces it. It provides clearer boundaries around what constitutes respectful discourse, including speech that may unintentionally cause harm or reinforce bias. Given that this forum includes people from a wide range of identities—many of whom experience intersectionality across multiple demographics—it seems important to name and protect those realities explicitly.
It also brings the rule in line with well-established norms for civil behavior and helps ensure this forum remains a place where all participants feel respected and safe to engage.
I hope this is received in the spirit of goodwill with which it’s offered, and not as a violation of any rule or posted in the wrong spot.

NipLuvr212 reacted to + ApexNomad in Providers requiring Client photo to meet!?
You’ve described yourself as bi, a former wrestler, good-looking, with thousands of partners. If that’s true, then this isn’t coming from someone who’s been excluded—it’s coming from someone who’s had access and power in the sexual world. Which makes this all the more disappointing.
Because what you’re doing here isn’t realism. It’s fear disguised as wisdom. It’s the voice of someone terrified of losing the privilege they once had, trying to rationalize their decline by projecting shame onto everyone else.
And let’s be clear: telling people to “stay in their lane” based on their looks is cruel. Reducing attraction to a merit-based economy where age and weight disqualify you from even hoping for chemistry with someone hotter? That’s not honest. That’s just bitter.
What strikes me most—especially since this isn’t the first time you’ve posted something like this—is how obsessed you are with whether providers would consider sex with larger men. It’s oddly clinical, like you’re trying to quantify desire. But this isn’t economics or evolutionary theory—it’s projection. You’re not describing a system. You’re describing your own fear of becoming unwanted and trying to universalize it so you’re not alone in that fear.
You’re not just naming your own insecurity—you’re codifying it into a worldview. One where people who already feel undesirable are told they should be. That their standards are delusional. That they don’t deserve what they want. It’s elitism with a self-pity twist.
What’s saddest to watch is that instead of meeting rejection with empathy—for yourself or for others—you’re passing it forward. You could offer understanding. Instead, you close the door on others behind you.
