ShowPalace was skankier than Gaiety, for sure.
But like the Gaiety, you walked up a narrow staircase to pay the entrance fee and then entered a lounge area of sorts. From there, you could go to a screening room, where a porn flick was playing in a not-dark room with maybe six or seven rows of movie theatre seats. Or you could go to the show room, where a small platform -- maybe 8'x8' at about 18" high -- was surrounded on three-sides by rows of theatre seating. The dancers would do a slow strip, then do a j/o show. Tippers could usually have a bit of a feel. There would usually be an advertised "headliner" (typically a porn star in from California) who would take to the stage at certain times (like maybe every two or three hours). But a new dancer would hit the stage every 20 minutes or so.

I liked how it was just much looser than the structured shows at Gaiety, where the guys tended to be more buff and more beautiful. ShowPalace guys were mostly black or Latin.

I've met with him several times from 2016 to this year
He's straight and limited with what he'll do but also I believe it's a your mileage may vary depending on chemistry and what you are looking for
I do not hire for penetration sex or anything hardcore or massages but I've always enjoyed my experiences with him
His stats and photos are pretty accurate maybe mid 30s (33-35) not as ripped but tall and muscles
Very nice guy and easy to talk to as well

Today is the birthday of one of my favorite escorts, he would be 42...
I saw on Facebook on Friday, October 14 that his Memorial service was that afternoon, and I did not know anything of it. The picture his family used was actually a picture I had taken of him at my home. I searched the obituaries and saw that he actually died in August 2022. I have no idea of the cause of death.
It had been about 12 years since we were actually together, but we had managed to keep in touch. During my hiring time with him, in addition to the regular sessions, I had also taken him on three trips with me, plus I also remember flying him to Miami to join me a couple of times. He wasn't a successful escort, but he and I managed to stick it out for about 5 years or so until he moved back to his home in Brooklyn. I knew his mother and his brother and had spoken to her on the phone a few times. She passed away a couple of years ago and I am so happy she did not have to bury one of her children. When he would come to visit, he is the only escort I had no problem leaving him at my home alone while I went to work, I actually would give him a key in case he needed to step out and never had a thought of the safety of my home while gone. He had a beautiful caring heart and could see and respect goodness in people.
When he moved back to Brooklyn, it was difficult to keep in touch with him as he wasn't a social media guy and like so many guys, he changed cell phone numbers so many times, I would not know which number to start calling. Now that his escorting life was over, I knew that when he wanted to talk, he would call me, and then our conversations would flow like we had been together just a few days before.
Happy birthday _______________, I will always remember you and the wonderful times we spent together. Love you!

He did say the absolute funniest thing an escort has ever said to me during a session. He said
“you don’t have to worry about discretion. I only ever talk about myself. There’s never any time to discuss anyone else.”

    it was true and hilarious.

Thanks for all these tributes which add so much dimension and heart to my already vivid memories of @Epigonos -- his presence, his banter, his gruffness, his generosity, his deviled eggs -- at a PS gathering some years back...

Warm thoughts to all who are feeling this loss today.

The thing I will add that hasn't fully been mentioned yet is his courage and heart.
Epigonos grew up in a time, place, and career where it was not okay to be out.  So in addition to what others have said about his reservoirs of kindness and love for family, friends, and neighbors, there is his courage.  And heart.  I got a front row seat to watching him live out, and love out, all the things he might have wished to do when he was younger - if the world were different back then.  He was the world's biggest realist.  As well as in many ways the world's sweetest man, in disguise.  This forum and the friendships he made, both with fellow connoisseurs like him, and with the escorts he became close to, meant the world to him.
When I first met him a few decades ago I sometimes described him as a kid in a candy store.  He was.  And he loved it.  That took a sense of joy and a willingness to experiment.  But it also took courage to be willing to explore different facets of who he was.  And to make deep friendships that have now left many of us sad or heartbroken.  He built a Gay community of his own the same way he had built communities of family and friends and teachers and students.  One Christmas dinner and one plate of delicious bacon wrapped dates or deviled eggs at a time.  And no one will ever know about the time we hired a bar hooker and had to go to a sex hotel with an armed guard to play for an hour in Acapulco.  Oops!  I just said it.  I always admired the man's balls, heart, courage, and appetite for adventure.
One of the many sweetnesses about the sometimes gruff man we knew was the framed letter from Santa he kept on display under one of his many lavish Christmas trees.  Back in his childhood his Mommy had apparently written a letter to Santa, who I guess worked at some big LA department store at the time.  Santa typed back to young Eppy (it was decades before Santa got online, I guess) to inform him that he had been a good boy.  And so good things would be forthcoming.
He was a good boy, a devoted son, a loving brother, a gifted teacher, and a kind friend.  Many good things came forth, for decades.  I loved the letter in part because it exposed the tender heart and inner spirit that drove it all.  The man had courage, and lived his life with richness and love.
