a new production, partly backed by Tom Hanks, debuted just a few days ago on Netflix.....five hour-or-so-long episodes from early George Washington days to his parting speech after presidency with many other historic personages, too, of course......I'm in the middle of watching (not binging) and very much like the clean, honest, modern production style with little bits of trivia and new pieces of little-known history.....graphics and maps are nicely practical, but some captions are often too small and I had to go back several times to re-read.......lots of new commentary from top names we all recognize......as with many of these newer documentaries, music can get a bit melodramatic, but this production was mostly restrained.......the recreated action is high quality.......100% on Rotten Tomatoes.......
