  5. had lunch with a couple forum members here four or five years ago.....never was owned or operated by Milk (it opened years after his death), but it's just a few doors away from his old camera shop...... https://harveyssf.com/

  11. Very good point. I don't mind the phrase "going viral" because it explains an entirely new phenomenon for which no other phrase ever existed. My concern is with those who co-opt a word or phrase only because it sounds more 'technical', fancy, detailed, or special than a previously used word or phrase for the same function. 'Curate' is a currently hot word for this. Formerly used, of course, only for art collections and similar, bars, paint stores, department stores, grocery stores, etc. now have "specially curated selections of the finest.....". It's a pretentious word that marketing types have discovered. Just sayin'!
  12. MDE is the airport code for Medellin....if anybody is curious like me about his suffix! The second busiest airport in Colombia after Bogota. Supposedly twelve hair-raising miles from town. Carry on!
  13. as you said, if he's found his equilibrium in the supply and demand graph/equation, good for him!.....Econ 101!

  15. I see a very recent favorable RM review from @TDAkers , who is probably the same trusty forum member around here
  16. I get occasional little sweat zits on my balls that look like that. With all the humid moisture and what-not down there, I chalk it up to some pore that got blocked up.
  17. no expert here, but I can tell by reading past forum posts and general internet reading that the whole hysterical "don't go there!!!...they arrest gays!!!" thing in Middle East countries is much more a concern for local citizens of the Islam faith.....that said, it's always a good idea anywhere to be polite, discreet, conservative, respectful, and knowledgeable of local customs and protocol......even in Dubai, I presume even a foreigner who exhibits extreme "mannerisms", public displays of affection with the same sex, etc. will get a very stern talking-to.....at the least.......
  18. For those interested in the Navajo Code Talkers of WW2, the exhibit at the Burger King in Kayenta, AZ, is a stunningly incredible trove. https://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2901

  20. Smithsonian American History Museum in DC. Spent all day in one wing of one floor during a visit. The first post-it notepad! The first mini-van! The Coke "I'd Like To Teach The World To Sing" song on continuous loop!

  22. At this very moment, the AA website is showing Business fare for LESS THAN Main Cabin from PHX-GIG-PHX in mid-February.......about $990 RT......what???
  23. well, one downside I can think of is that that decorative trim (hem-like) thing on the flat/top sheet that would normally be at the top/head end of the bed would end up at the bottom, right?......that might give me a bit of a "world turned upside down"-feel while sleeping??!!......also, my Mother was stickler for making sure the "top" of the flat/top sheet was facing down so, when pulled back at the top/head, that decorative hem/trim would face up with the neater sewing finish exposed..... I also only sleep on one side of my queen-size bed, but don't rotate the sheets because, well,......(see above!) however, the fitted/bottom sheet could definitely be rotated, it seems....
