  1. Although I'm a big fan (as you can see from my post of 2015), I wouldn't go for a massage longer than an hour. I've done that with Pierre, and, like many masseurs, he sort of runs out of things to do at the 60-minute mark, and spends a lot of time on fingers and toes. He's in Washington thru May 18, and then goes to Orlando for 2 weeks. I emailed him today , asking if he's coming here (NYC), but no reply yet. Yes, he lives on a beach on the Andaman Sea in Thailand, and returns to the US every year, usually in October, so I'm very surprised to learn that he's here now. He has a kick-boxing school in Thailand. He's an accomplished musician, knows a lot about movies from 1920-1970, has been an amateur boxer, and speaks several languages. A most interesting guy!
  2. I suggest Arjun, who advertises on M4M. I've been a happy client for more than 5 years.
  3. I just read Hilton Als' review in the New Yorker (May 1 issue). This magazine, which is known as the paragon of fact-checking and proof reading, writes that the show is at the Schubert Theater. What has happened to standards in this Age of Trump? Oh, the humanity! But seriously, David Remnick's "Talk of the Town" in this issue is perhaps the longest, and definitely the best, editorial I've read in quite a while. Devastating!! We must keep up the good fight!
  4. I didn't know that Bette Midler is scheduled to leave. When is Donna Murphy taking over?

  6. I saw this last night, at a late preview. I think it opens next Thursday, April 20. RUN, DO NOT WALK!!! This was fabulous in every way! My full-price ticket, purchased at the box office months ago, was $189, fourth row, center mezz. A perfect seat, and worth every penny! Bette Midler is, well.....BETTE MIDLER! David Hyde Pierce was born to play Horace Vendergelder. I remember David Burns in the original on Bway, and Mr Pierce is even better -- and David Burns was wonderful in everything he ever did. Bette had a minor coughing fit at the end of the first act, when she was on stage alone, so Cornelius Hackl brought her some water, and she stayed in character, but then ad libbed a bit -- which was so delightful! I think she may have some voice problems ahead, as she really belts it out, but no matter. SHE'S BETTE MIDLER! I cannot remember enjoying a night in the theater so much -- not since "Anything Goes" a few years ago, with Sutton Foster, I think it was. But this was even better!

  8. He appears to be a new masseur in NY. The video in his ad shows a super-nice guy; how's his massage? Anyone know? The wonderful reviews on his site mean absolutely nothing, of course. Anyone?? https://www.masseurfinder.com/members/sexylatinoerick.shtml
  9. Sorry for the attitude. He wasn't unfriendly; he was pleasant enough. I really don't remember if the massage was good or bad, so I guess it was OK. It was clear that I wasn't satisfied, so the atmosphere was a bit chilly when I left. I never express dissatisfaction verbally, or by petulancy, but it was clear that I would not be returning. I'll venture to say that reviews on those sites -- excellent or unfavorable -- don't mean much. We never know who wrote them. A masseur can easily ask a friend to send in a review, and the site doesn't know who or where the review is coming from. Also, masseurs sometimes ask (I've been asked several times) to write a review in return for a discout on the next session. As I recall, my advice to "stay away" was primarily because the masseur didn't deliver what was promised. There are SO MANY good masseurs in New York -- I think you can do much better.
  10. His photos are accurate. If you want to be massaged by someone who looks exactly like the person in the photo, go for it. What don't you understand about "stay away?" I said that his massage is not sensual and not erotic. And you concede that his rates are high. What's your question?
  11. I just looked at the link that's supplied here, and I don't see that he offers massages, much less understand how to contact him. (I admit that I don't know what Instagram is. I've heard of it, but don't know what it is.)
  12. Yes, Jake Rose (or the person in the photos, whoever he is) is VERY hot! But I'm amazed and appalled at the lengths that clients must go to determine if they are being defrauded or not. It's sad that this "industry" is so rife with deception and fraud, and that clients must take all sorts of security measures (such as three-finger selfies) to make sure that their money and time isn't wasted on frauds. I hire masseurs, not escorts, but I'm constantly faced with this problem, and The Spa is full of stories about wasted time and money, outing of fakers, and advice on how to spot them. As our so-called president would say, "Sad."
  13. If you like Asian masseurs, try the new Utopia Spa on Lexington Ave and 70th St. It's co-owned by Xiao, a wonderful masseur (who advertises on Masseurfinder). I've been there; it's clean, friendly, professional, and the masseurs know what they're doing.
  14. I'm puzzled. Where does the pizza fit into the massage experience?
  15. It's a heal, not a relax, massage, and $150 is a bit steep for that. Maybe he lets you play with his dog?
  16. No, I don't know him, but you are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT to get a recommendation that you can trust before you fork over $200. I'm sure you've read about plenty of bad experiences in this chat room.
  17. I noticed the post by 510guy. ABSOLUTELY!! I've been massaged by guys that asked me not to tell everything they did in my review, as they didn't want inquiries from kooks, and/or they don't do those things for all their clients. Also, I noted Terpmaniac's comment on what his ex-boyfriend told him. I have found that recommendations from friends haven't quite panned out, and that some masseurs are far, far better than what recommendations from friends indicated they would be.
  18. RJ in Kissimmee is the best! I've been a very happy customer for years. Unfortunately, he doesn't get to NY much these days. You won't go wrong with RJ. He advertises on M4M or Masseurfinder, or both.
  19. If the establishment advertises on a big billboard, I doubt very much if "something must go on." It may be New Jersey, but it ain't the Bad-A-Bing!!! However, since it's a spa, it's probably sufficiently inexpensive for you to check it out yourself.
  20. Are those supposed to be two penises on the arms of the chair? )): Imaginative photos. thanks!
  21. If these are the boys next door, I'd like to move into the neighborhood today!
  22. asd41, IMHO none of the massage sites are reliable, to use your word. We don't know if the photos are of the masseurs, or stolen from other sites; we NEVER know if the "testimonials" are stolen from other masseurs, and with the ridiculous policies of M4M, we can't even see what they look like without shirts on. (BTW, M4M in New York is down to 112 clients, as of today. About two months ago, they had 160. They are destroying their own business.) I (almost) NEVER hire a new masseur without a recommendation from someone in this chat room. Last Tuesday, I was smitten by a photo of a handsome Asian, Aquino, on Rentmasseur, and we made an appointment for last night at 9 pm here. I confirmed on Friday, and he replied, "OK." 9 pm came and went, and no Aquino. Well, I was watching TV, so I continued to watch TV. He was a total no-show; no phone call, no email, nothing. I assume he discovered that he could make more money last night with one or two other clients, so he blew me off. No big deal for me; it cost me no money and no time. I plan to donate the $150 to the ACLU, increasing my contribution for 2016. Certainly will make me feel better than a massage!
  23. Just Sayin', do you know how much he charges for an hour? You might not be so interested if his rates are high; why won't he tell us?
  24. I'm usually highly skeptical of masseurs who use the words tantric and chakra, and I'd be more interested if this guy informed clients of his rates.
