  1. HOWEVER - stuff like 23 and Me is just looking for a handful of markers that are more common in certain populations, they aren't sequencing your entire genome, so their percentages are kind of BS. You could have gotten Natice American DNA but not the genes they had flagged as merkers.
  2. Well scratch that, I was just googling about meiosis and the chromosomes get rescrambled.
  3. It's mathematically quite possible that none of your great-grandmother's DNA made it to you. We get 23 chromosomes from each parent. But that doesn't mean we got 11.5 from each of the 4 grandparents...we got 12,11,11,12 or maybe 15,8,5,18, etc. It's a series of random coin flips which ones get passed down. The only thing that is certain for everyone is our RNA came from our matrilinear ascendants and (for males) our Y chromosome came from our patrilinear ascendants.
  4. Yes but he could simply be rounding to shrink the denominator if he's 5/16 or 11/32 something. It's not really that big a deal.
  5. From the article it sounds like they are just charging him with trespassing. They probably could have charged him with something worse but decided not to.
  6. He should have read the "Raise the Rate" letter.
  7. Given the general decline in the quality of their models(not all just...lately they seem to have lots of guys who I wouldn't describe as particularly hot) I doubt the market can sustain that being a blanket provision of the contract. They might do it for the leading guys who maybe they pay a bit more(and who might be happy to do that anyway if, say, they're married with kids and would rather have the reliable paycheck and the testing regimen than the risks of the escort market).
  8. Is it just me or do Archie and Joey look like they are brothers?
  9. Avalon, There ARE still doctors (and nurses) who make house calls. Look up your local visiting nurse association and ask for an evaluation and they can help you set up a plan of care even if you don't end up engaging their services specifically.
  10. But even then, you graduate as an officer with a five year commitment. And much better career opportunities in general.
  11. I find the older I get, the less I can trust a fart. As in trust that a fart is all it is...I thought this would come considerably later in life than my late 40s...
  12. Many US cities and roads are unfortunately engineered in a manner that makes it markedly less safe to bike. Which then gets compounded by the fact that since so few do bike, drivers are unaccustomed to being on the lookout for them. I'm over 20 miles from where I used to work in northern NJ and we had one guy who biked 17 miles each way. Company newsletter did a big story on him. Three months later he was hit by a car on one of the narrow highways he had to navigate and landed in the hospital for weeks. I will say Boston seems to be doing quite a bit to make the city more bike-friendly from what I've seen. But in general we simply aren't there yet in terms of setups making it feasible for most people.
  13. He was in the Academy? Did he get kicked out under DADT? I really can't believe someone who was or was in training to be an officer would be doing porn as that's an incredibly foolish move, and people in the academies are, well, generally smart enough to know that and also not hard up for money. Enlisted is another matter, they're making much less money and not planning to be there as long.
  14. There was enough that was sufficiently far over the line that removal was not at all unreasonable. Plus it had become completely unreadable anyway due to multiple people with the same name and posters responding out of turn without quoting what they were responding to. Weak antecedents are fatal to message board communication, people!
  15. There are also sometimes some guys over by the Excalibur walkway (the one behind the desk where you get show tickets) taking pictures. For a while it was Thunder From Down Under guys, then generic guys dressed in semi-medieval looking garments.
  16. She's been hospitalized multiple times for mental issues, the first time after a traumatic head injury. I do question to what extent one can expect reasonable behavior from her.
  17. But papers would have required them to transcribe it and be able to read your handwriting, which takes time and adds additional possibility of errors. It's not about how long it takes you to put things in the first time.
  18. They've had that for years. It's ten or twenty bucks for a pic with them. I've never gone and taken a pic, but a couple if times I've slipped a five into a waistband. Unfortunately it's always too crowded to make a discreet inquiry about availability outside...
  19. Well, Roseanne's character WAS worried about dying during the knee operation she was going to have...
  20. If it's the delivery person's first day I'd cut her some slack. She was probably getting yelled at by a lot of people all night. Lots of houses are poorly marked or not at all, and it takes time to know the neighborhood.
  21. If they actually did such things they are open to a countersuit. She should report him to the insurance company and the state. Insurance fraud is a crime.
  22. The updates look a bit different from his usual posts and most are reposts. There are probably ways to automate updating your twitter feed.
  23. It's not really that hard to figure out, you make a living in the pleasure industry, you are exposed to other things that are, at least initially, pleasurable. I doubt it. I had chatted very briefly with him about tax stuff and he seemed to know about it. There's really no need to do that kind of thing these days unless you are being deliberately stupid. Also if there were cash in it I don't believe he has no one in his life he could get to get it out. Well maybe he doesn't but I'm thinking he has some regulars he trusts or even an attorney.

  25. I haven't, but I have spinal issues that cause some delay in arousal in the first place.
