Share of Americans not having sex surges to record levels!
+ sniper replied to Walker1's topic in The Lounge
I mean, they can't afford to move out of their parents homes, plus the bars are closed. How is this surprising? -
He'll be back when he's horny. He probably decided spending the night was too close to a relationship and he's spooked.

I DMed @BasketBaller, who it seems hasn't been on the forum in a while, about Daddy's passing, thinking he might want to preserve what he's written in this thread. I don't know if anyone's in touch with him outside of the forum, but if someone is, maybe they could reach out to him. I haven't waited long to hear from him, but given we have some uncertainty as to how long/whether this site will stay up, figured I'd mention it here.
-
I mean, if he's spending the night for free and has a day job, I don't really see how he has the time for that.
-
What I find surprising is that the gay porn blogs which are usually all over this stuff were completely silent about him, What's up with that?

Look, you go to Vegas to gamble. If the mood strikes you when there, just hit him up for an immediate appt and view it as a pull of the slot machine. Seems like when he DOES show up, he's good. I didn't try to make a plan for some specific future day since it seemed more likely he wouldn't show. I asked him if he was available in the next few hours and he said yes. I think I had a window with him not a nailed down arrival time but I was okay with that as I was traveling alone and had no other commitments. If you are someone who keeps a tight schedule he's definitely not for you. I'm not defending his flaking on scheduled appointments, I'm just saying if you want to see him and can do it that way, that would be how I'd suggest you go about it.

This is one of those things that I think sounds great in theory but IRL I'm too much of an introvert to make it work.
-
Thinking more about this, what's the age gap here and how old is he? Kids today don't really have "courting" skills(well, really almost everyone today partly thanks to the apps) and you may want to keep in mind that his "not wanting to date" might not be true. If you really would not ever date him, try to observe if he's catching feelings. Remember the Campfire Rule...

Reading between the lines of his profile, it doesn't sound like it's at all likely to be a good time unless it's a fetish of yours. Sounds like he wants to sit back, do nothing, and take your money.

But what show?

What is this from?

Eh, are ICUs normally nearly that full though? I was under the impression COVID patients on ventilators require a lot more hands on attention than the typical ICU patient. I visited my sister in the ICU a few times (not COVID, recovering from sepsis) and tbh staff weren't in the room nearly as much as I expected they'd be during my visits.

I wasn't talking about with PreP, I was talking about the 138/10,000 in the absence of PreP and the expressed surprise at that figure as "low." In the context of how often most people have sex that's not "low" at all, people just are really bad at probability estimation with multiple events.
-
Given most people have sex multiple times, a greater than 1% chance of transmission each time adds up pretty quickly. If you just did it once a week you would expect to be HIV+ by year-end.
-
Injectable PReP may or may not be a game changer depending how promptly people come back for their booster shots. It's pretty easy for something to come up and make you miss an appointment and then it takes a week or two to reschedule...

That's assuming they are dutifully taking their pills every single day. The vast majority of people on any daily pill regimen miss some number of pills. Yeah,if they're missing one or two a month likely no change to that stat. But what if they're traveling and forgot their pills and it's been a week? How soon do you become infectious again? This happens with ANY daily regimen, BTW not just HIV. I take a cholesterol med that I fully intend to take every day and probably on average once a week I forget. Given HIV isn't something where you immediately feel worse upon a skipped dose, it's unlikely that compliance is higher than average.

Wait, Should We Always Wait for the Masseur to Ask for the Payment?
+ sniper replied to MsgFantasy's topic in Spas & Masseurs
I had read it as the guy just got up and left before he could get paid, not that the norm was him to literally ask for the money each time. But I agree the phrasing was unclear. If the fee was known beforehand in general you should hand it to them or leave it somewhere clear for them to pick up. -

It's really not that uncommon in the uber-religious parts of the US for there to be women with grandchildren older than some of their kids. When you marry at 18 and aren't allowed to use birth control, and the next generation does the same, it's inevitable.
