I actually often have trouble finding jeans or trousers in stores since most retailers only carry 29, 30, and 31” inseams. Ordering online lets me get what I need.
 
I’ll still go to a store for a suit, but I’ll admit some part of the attraction is having a cute salesman up close and personal measuring me because curiously I can never remember my size in those situations.

I was down to almost never for a while, then I moved. I've written more checks since the move than probably in the previous 10 years combined.
 
MOST of my regular bills are electronically paid. (phone, CATV, utilities, mortgage, etc.) Some don't work out so well (trash) so they get checks. I've currently got some renovations being done to the house so add checks for each contractor passing through.
 
Coincidentally, I've also used more postage stamps in the last year than the previous 10 years.

One of the best steak houses I’ve been to was in Omaha. Every steak came with a side of spaghetti with marinara.

I have. Enjoyed the heck out of him the first time and lamented that his ads had disappeared. When new ads with different name and pics appeared I didn’t make the connection until I opened the door. His face lit up as much as mine.
 
But that’s the only time.

A friend in LA is an avid tomato grower. He lost most of this year’s crop during the excessive heat. They became water balloons on the vine, stewed in place.

To answer the subject of thread, the law ATTEMPTS to define sex but never really can.
 
I once had an intense cuddle session with a college baseball player for several hours. We were tremendously relieved but I’m pretty sure none of it fit any legal definition of sex.

Went to a taping of Bonnie Hunt’s long ago cancelled show. The show opener always said “hot dog and root beer on us”. On the way in they handed everyone a ballpark hot dog and cold root beer!
 
My timing as always was a day late and a dollar short. The guest the day before was Carol Burnett. Missed it by THIS much. I got to see some stars of shows I’d never seen.
 
It was entertaining and free, but I wouldn’t stand in line for it.

I grew up in flyover country as well, in the county seat so the county fair was local.
 
We always enjoyed the general hubbub of the rides, the food, the crowds. The lemon shakeup!
 
Of course the county fair happens in the dog days of summer so a lot of the male participants are shirtless. The community is also home to a Big 10 universty populated with around 90,000 students. They show up too. Also joyously frolicking shirtless.
 
It’s worth the price of admission.

As a really little kid, I remember being lifted into and out of the rides by the operators - they were always extremely rough-looking young men with tatts who looked like they hadn't showered in awhile- at that tender age I was already attracted to rough trade.
