Had a great massage with Kenny at TSMS recently.  He’s fun, interactive and it’s a great massage.  On my way out I saw two other guys, one younger who I’d be interested in trying.  Anyone know his name?  From my extremely vague description lol

The Medford location must bring the Hamptons customers, it might make him some nice tips. 

As much as Bozo sympathizes with the OP's tale of woe, it must bear repeating... NEVER, repeat, NEVER, repeat, NEVER give a deposit up front. There are enough stories of escorts and masseurs that scam, ghost, don't show up, and then block the client. How many times do you have to read or hear about all of the warnings?
There comes a time when we have to take responsibility for our actions. And Bozo is glad to see that the OP took accountability for his mistake.
Sending a deposit bears a risk. If you choose to ignore the risks, and still go ahead and send money in advance, don't complain that you got ripped off. It's akin to a cigarette smoker lamenting that he/she was diagnosed with cancer. 
Anytime a provider asks for money in advance, click your heels together and repeat three times, "No thanks, No thanks, No thanks...." And then move on to another provider in your area.

The full version of this story is quite a saga, but here's the TL;DR version.
I was planning a long evening with a provider I had seen a handful of times. We were going to see a musical--he's a really fine singer and I knew he'd like that--and then enjoy a few hours together. I had the tickets, and he was taking care of making the rest of the evening an event. When he asked for a $500 deposit to help with that, I overcame my qualms and sent it to him.
It will surprise absolutely no one in this forum to learn that on the very day we were supposed to get together, he texted me to say that he was stuck in a faraway city (inset tale of woe here) and wouldn't be making it. I tried to be understanding, but I was also firm in saying that I felt scammed because I had paid for an experience I wasn't going to have. He assured me that he would return the money, though not right away because his finances were a mess (insert further tale of woe here). Repeated enquiries have produced ever-receding deadlines for repayment, but of course no actual money.
No deposits.
Ever.

Can I tell you guys a trick? When getting the scrub go and turn on the hot water immediately. While you’re getting undressed the steam should warm up the room. You’re welcome lol

Quick update for everyone: with today’s weather in NYC (heavy snow, that gross sleet mix, and genuinely sketchy travel conditions), we’re going to be closed today so nobody has to risk getting stuck, sliding around, or turning a simple appointment into an extreme sport.
The safety of our clients and our guys comes first. Thanks for understanding. This weather has been absolutely wild lately, and we’ll post again as soon as things clear up and it’s safe to reopen.

if I understand well, you can find the following guys (not all of them every day, they each have a different schedule)

- maybe Wayne still works there although I have not seen him recently.
I have seen Jimmy a couple of times there too, but I don’t think he does massages anymore, I think he goes there to manage the team. That’s a pity, he was always so nice to me, I would love one last massage with him  
All of them make sure I have a good time when I go there, although they each have their limits, and I am sure your mileage may vary.
 

You could try a 24-hour mens spa in the city. They’re usually still open and not really affected by the cold, especially at night

I hate to sound silly, but I usually just stop them right at the end of the massage and say “can I get your number” and make a motion like I am texting on a phone. If that doesn’t work I make the phone signal with my hand and hold it up to my ear and say again “can I get your number” and then usually I say “to text you” and make the texting motion again. I’ve never had them not understand after all that what I’m asking, even with almost 0 English. But I have had them occasionally say “no” or “not allowed,” etc. I’d say though I have at least a 70% success rate though when I ask. Usually they pull out their phone or if they don’t have it on them at that point I get up and grab mine.
Other thing is sometimes they don’t have text but have WhatsApp or WeChat, or even occasionally Facebook or Instagram. So be prepared for alternative options to text (but that’s more common in Asia or elsewhere).

Went there a couple of times this week — Anthony had great customer service & great personality, short handsome muscley Asian twink. Rocky was okay, neither good nor bad. Both had limited English.

I had a massage at TSMS with Kenny this afternoon. It was great, as usual, but after the massage he did something I rarely see these days. He introduced me to the new guys at TSMS - Simon, Wayne and Robert. Kenny is clearly the "main attraction" at TSMS but he's smart enough to know that the new guys need some clients, too and he's willing to share his own. When I see new names via text inquiries, I'm curious but tend to stick to the masseurs I know and with whom I have built a "relationship." I will see the guys in the spa but I usually am not able to match names with faces so it's difficult to meet them if I'm interested. I kind of feel like I'm betraying my regular masseur by asking about new faces in front of them. Kenny knows I will return to him but is willing to share his clients with his co-workers. Very classy, Kenny! 👏👏👏

Hi newbie. The therapists wear shorts and t-shirts generally. Maybe pants in the winter months? Anything less would be unprofessional, illegal and taboo...

I'm with Cher, growing old is a bitch. I'm not familiar with the guy above, but I know what age, time, and health have done to my looks. At least this guy still has some hair. The second photo is not a good a photo, so that doesn't help. Selfies are for kids. For many of us, once we turn 50, things have a way of changing, and the changes aren't easy to fix. I would love to get Botox on my face, but $1,000 won't go far, and the results don't last. I've learned to avoid mirrors, and I tip my doctors who request me to get naked.

Looking forward to having this in the neighborhood.
 

He seems like a tight, compact kind of guy. I think he's sexy. Looks like he travels with a table and cares a lot about his health. A+. If his technique is as good as the reviews suggest, I might splurge on this one, if given the chance. The guys who travel with tables tend to be serious, and deserve more, IMO. I don't need a new best friend, just someone who knows and loves what he is doing. If he does it naked, even better.

To those who do that:  No I am not going to tell you what happens between me and the masseur behind closed doors, why do you think I would? You never help us about your experiences or reviews of masseurs , what makes you think we should help you?
I don’t know you, you could be a cop trying to find which spa to close down next. 
Aquire some credentials first by posting your experiences, then maybe we’ll talk. 

They’re the ones who are heading over to my place for a sweaty session. I love when they don’t shower and come right from the gym!
