1) Ignore the talk about B1/B2 visas. B1/B2 is a tourist or business visa, and does not give the holder the right to live in the United States, but only to stay (typically) for 180 days. Not all people being deported today arrived illegally -- many arrived with a B1/B2 and stayed too long; the overstay is improper and, if long enough, can result in deportation and barred re-entry. 2) Especially ignore the talk about an American sponsor for a B1/B2. That does not exist, and even if someone had written such a letter, the US government has no way to pursue the American as the contract is not binding; the visa officer will most likely consider it a negative as it demonstrates that the applicant doesn't have resources of their own. 214(b) of the INA says that B1/B2 visa holders must demonstrate they have the means and intention to travel internationally and have sufficient ties that obligate them to return to their country of origin (i.e., some combination of job, family, property, etc. that no one would/could abandon). Requiring the assistance of an American undermines this and worsens their chances of receiving a visa. 3) Consult an LGBT-focused immigration/refugee group like Rainbow Railroad. RR works in Ukraine. They are experts in law, can assess your situation with your full details and an understanding of the law, and give you advice that is useful. In any event, get legal advice from legal experts, not wikisourced from bulletin boards with unknown experience or qualifications to advise. 4) @Kylostar, delete the RM profile.
