  1. Oprah Winfrey is parting ways with Weight Watchers after nearly 10 years on the company’s board of directors. The company says that Winfrey told the board this week that she would not stand for reelection at the company’s next annual meeting, set for May 9. Winfrey has been a board member and a public face for Weight Watchers since 2015. The company says that Winfrey will still continue to work as a public advocate on behalf of weight health and obesity issues, including co-hosting an event together in May. It also says that Winfrey will donate all her shares in the company to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Winfrey disclosed in December that she was using a prescription drug to manage her weight. According to the terms of her agreement with Weight Watchers, “Winfrey will not grant anyone but the Company the right to use her name, image, likeness or endorsement for or in connection with any other weight loss or weight management programs during the Strategic Term, and she will not engage in any other weight loss or weight management business, program, products, or services during the Strategic Term and for one year thereafter.” Oprah Winfrey Leaves Weight Watchers Board After Disclosing Use of Weight Loss Medication WWW.HOLLYWOODREPORTER.COM Winfrey will donate all her shares in the company to the National Museum of African American History and Culture "to eliminate any perceived conflict of...
  2. His bathing suit pics have made me very 'happy' at different times. CNN attracts some of the sexiest guys - Boris, John Berman, and reporter Jeremy Diamond.
  3. I enjoy watching him every afternoon on CNN reporting the news. Can we just say he's probably the sexiest man on cable news TV these days ?
  4. Red Lobster tried opening in my area (Southeastern New England) about thirty years ago, with three restaurants. They obviously didn't do their research correctly, as we have enough seafood restaurants in a variety of price points all over the state - all locally caught, fresh fish. Who would want to go to RL and get a freezer-to-fryolator dinner ? Within a few years, they all closed. Olive Garden also tried moving into our state as well as Spaghetti Warehouse. Again, aside from seafood, our other #1 cusine is Italian - being a heavily Italian state. We have a plethora of Italian restaurants in every price point on every corner. I believe there's only one OG left - near a college campus. The Spaghetti Warehouse closed in less than a year.
  5. Of the guys I knew who went out into the world (by their mid-30s or so), quite a few got a degree in cyber security.
  6. They want pecs like Becks. New York City surgeons are seeing a surge in men seeking to have their nipples reduced in size — and David Beckham is their aesthetic inspiration. The soccer superstar’s small, symmetrical, “almond-shaped” nips have cashed-up men forking out $5,000 for a procedure to perfect their pecs. “People want David Beckham’s nipples,” Dr. Marc Everett, a plastic surgeon on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, told the Daily Mail on Wednesday. Dr. Elie Levine, who also has a practice in the same swanky neighborhood, says he’s now performing the procedure once every two weeks — up from a handful of times a year. “It’s definitely a growing trend,” he declared, saying he’s also heard men saying they need their nips to look just like Beckham’s. 7. Actor Robert Scott Wilson was previously on the soap 'All My Children', and then joined 'The Price Is Right' as one of their (often shirtless) on-stage male models. He then joined 'DOOL' in 2014. 'The Price is Right' For Former 'AMC' Star Robert Scott Wilson; Actor Joins 'DAYS' Cast WWW.SOAPOPERANETWORK.COM Rumors had been swirling all weekend and now Soap Opera Digest is reporting that former "All My Children" actor, and "The Price is Right&quot ...
  8. Playgirl Magazine, which ran a print edition from 1973 - 2016, is making a comeback of sorts in a digital format of the magazine. The Spring edition will feature the actors of 'Days of Our Lives', which has been confirmed by Playgirl as well as some of the actors. Robert Scott Wilson, Eric Marstolf, Paul Telfer, Christopher Sean and Bryan Dattilo have been confirmed as the models. The photo shoot took place this past week. Playgirl Confirms ‘Hunks of Days of our Lives’ In Spring Digital Edition MICHAELFAIRMANTV.COM Looks like the Days of our Lives men, who have been known to show some skin on daily episodes of the Peacock streaming soap opera, will be featured in a...
  9. Move over masseurs - now we can get a happy ending with our haircuts ! 😜 The gays are asking: is it wrong to get a “happy haircut?” WWW.INTOMORE.COM Just like in a Curb Your Enthusiasm bit, this poster ended up getting a surprise at the end of his haircut...
  10. There's a well-known RM/Masseur who lives in my town but also travels around the country frequently. I've hired him a once or twice years ago, and he was just 'meh' for me (he has a great muscled body). Anyhow, for the longest time he advertised as '29' then bumped up to '35' a few years ago. In actuality, he's going to be 50 next month on St. Paddy's Day. I know for a fact because he frequents a business where I work, and needs to show ID for service. I've waited on him very recently (he didn't appear to remember me at all) and recognized him from his ads right away. Believe me, he doesn't look 35. He still has a tight muscled body, though.
  11. I'm giving the 'new Amazon Prime Video' a try (before I pay the extra $3) and so far, the ads have not been intrusive. There's one which airs before the show I want to watch begins, and that's it. No other ads in between. No need to invest another three bucks !
  12. This week's episode was rather slow, though Naomi Watts probably earned an Emmy for her stellar performance.
  13. I remember him from the ABC show "Revenge". He played Nolan's boyfriend, from what I recall.
  14. That didn't bother me too much. Usually it does, but I think for this series it worked well.
  15. Any newer experiences on this guy ? He will be in my area tomorrow and Monday. I'm curious how his erotic massage is - and how far it goes.
  16. Last night's episode covered Capote's famous 'Black and White Ball' from 1966. Of course, the writers took many liberties with the events which occurred that evening, but what an enjoyable episode.
  17. Agree - it was a tough sell from the beginning, and they couldn't make it happen. Should've been an off-B'way production in a smaller house, with less expenses.
  18. Shortly afterwards ???? She died 6 years later - not six months. Six years is not exactly 'shortly afterwards'.
  19. I think it does matter. Familiarity with the characters makes the story more real for some viewers.
  20. I've DVR'd the first two episodes and FF through the commercials. I must say - this is better than I thought it would be. The cast is incredible (especially Hollander, Watts and Lane), the directing fast-paced, and the writing is great (except for a few obvious falsehoods they presented as 'facts' - such as Capote referencing '60 Minutes' to Bill Palley when he first meets him in 1955 - '60 Minutes' didn't come on the air until '68; one of the characters saying 'she flew in on the Concorde from London to NY' in 1975 - the Concorde wasn't available until 1979).
  21. "How to Dance In Ohio", which has struggled to find an audience since it opened a few months ago to mostly terrible reviews, will play its final performance on February 11. When the show closes, it will have played 99 performances - the latest 'new musical' this season which never hit the 100-performance benchmark.
  22. Three-time Tony winning actor Hinton Battle died today after a "brief illness", according to his friend, actress Debbie Allen. "Today, I honor Hinton Battle, my dear friend who left us to dance and sing in God’s Ensemble last night. He fought this battle to live and be creative impacting audiences and young people across the globe. Let us always hold him high in our hearts and in our mind’s eye and forever speak his name."
  23. Heavy promotion ? She did the 'CBS Morning Show' on November 5 and 6, for a very brief interview (split into two parts; less than 10 minutes each ) with Gayle King. She did a ninety-minute interview with Howard Stern on his radio show, available on Sirius Radio (subscription only) a few days later. She did an interview with Stephen Colbert, a few weeks after the book release, in which he monopolized the whole interview and talked about himself. She did a 'virtual' meet and greet with B&N a month after the book's release, in which one had to buy the book from B&N (in person or online) to get a promo code to the 'private event'. You call that heavy promotion ? Meanwhile, a few weeks after Streisand released her memoir, politician Liz Cheney released hers. The difference ? Liz Cheney was on just about every morning talk show, every Sunday talk show, every cable TV talk show - even those by 'liberal hosts' (as they acknowledged) where nobody would think she'd ever show up ('The Rachel Maddow Show', 'The View'), to be interviewed about her book. She made herself accessible to all - didn't do subscription radio interviews, didn't do a private event. She even did a 'book tour' in between, signing copies at local bookstores. NOW THAT'S HEAVY PROMOTION. She landed at #1 and stayed there for most of the two months since her book's release.
  24. It also had one of the fastest rise to the #1 position at the time - six short weeks. It stayed in the Hot 100 for 15 weeks, achieved Gold status (1M copies sold) on February 11, 1980 and Platinum status (2M copies sold) in 1997. It was the first 12" single to top the new 'Disco / Dance Chart' where it stayed for four weeks.
