Keep that FILTH out of our public institutions!
+ purplekow replied to samhexum's topic in The Lounge
I do not usually return to see shows that I find sexually inappropriate though I would expect that a late night drag show would definitely push the boundaries of good taste. However, if the drag show featured an Eva Braun impersonator extolling the virtues of Nazi philosophy, I would find that inappropriate and leave no matter the time of day. So whether it is a drag queen dressed as Eva Braun or Kirk Cameron dressed as a Evangelical homophobe, I would find that inappropriate and by that standard, I would not want either at my local library or "entertaining" children or adults for that matter. It is the subject matter that matters and Drag Queen Story Time likely has the more uplifting, inclusive and ultimately Christ Like message as compared to the holier than thou washed up child star. -
Last week I was at my favorite Italian deli and while walking toward the counter, my foot slid under a moveable shelf which was just a bit out of line. When I went to take a step, I fell forward and landed on a low shelf filled with bags of pasta and both shelf and the pasta were surprisingly sturdy/ So I did not fall to the ground, but I did partially tear my Achilles tendon and I have a fairly bad tear of my calf muscle. Though no surgery is required, conservative estimates are that I will be unable to resume most activities for 6 weeks to 3 months. Fortunately, that does not include horizontal activities. Anyway, I have been going to work and using a wheel chair. At times, I can walk a short distance using the chair as a walker. As I work in a hospital, there are also handrails I can use to pull myself along. Also, for rounds, my residents have taken to wheeling me from patient to patient. However, when I go to leave at night, there really is no one to help and I have been struggling to get back to my care. Once I am home, I can get myself back into the house. I have been struck by how helpful so many individuals have been. These are not people I know but with only a few exceptions, people have asked if they can assist me in any way as I am making my way around. Tonight, as I was trying to pull myself up a gentle incline the chair kept sliding back and I fully understood the torture of Sisyphus and the Rock. Finally a stranger happened by and not only pushed me up the incline, he pushed me to my car and loaded the chair in my trunk. This was not the first act of kindness I have received, only the latest. So, if anyone here has used or is using a wheelchair, are people as considerate as the people I have come across? And how has your experience been in trying to deal with a world that is to my mind, not very considerate of the differently abled.

Keep that FILTH out of our public institutions!

Just to be clear. A drag queen doing a reading is not actually performing her stage act. So long as that is the case, she really is just a man dressed up like a woman. In general, children are probably more accepting of that than adults as they rely much more on what they see and a lot less on what the want and do not want to see. Mr. Cameron would likely have more success getting readings at Liberty College and religious schools at all levels. As they say, they rob banks cause that is where the money it. How likely would you be to see a Drag Queen story hour at such an institution do you suppose. -
Tail as old as time.

For me, if there was not the occasional hot ass and bare chests, I would not be watching this show. Most of the characters are unlikeable. The reveals are obvious. I mean who did not know that the nephew was a call boy? At least that reveal came with the view of him uninspiringly fucking his "uncle's" ass.

He is short of cash but his schedule is too busy to find a convenient time with you. If he needed the money that badly, he would have been sure to make it work.

Bizarre Time with Long Time Barber in San Francisco
+ purplekow replied to + Axiom2001's topic in The Lounge
Why would you anticipate that a grown ass man business owner would not know that his actions have consequences? So far as we know, his actions have only irritated one customer who could not overlook one episode after 10 years of his patronage. To me it sounds as though the barber knows what he is doing and that perhaps he just wanted to get rid of a particular customer. -

My father was a barber. He was generally gregarious in the shop and very quiet at home. He said that talking with people who just want to talk is exhausting but it was part of the job. Perhaps your barber feels differently. As with escorts, if you are not happy you can go somewhere else. It is his life, his shop and for us to presume we know better than he does what is best for him and his business is hubris. -
Well you have invested in one episode so if you stop now you may miss out on some entertaining schmaltz with naked men. I would keep going until it is clear that the show sucks, and not in a good way.

He is basically there to cut your hair. He does not have to supply a floor show with the cut. It was weird but he did explain with his note and perhaps he is just plain tired of people coming to the barber shop and expecting scintillating conversation so he took a drastic turn. If you like the way he cuts your hair, then that should be your priority. If you want meaningless chit chat, ask him to put on the View while you are there. -
By the way, this does take a bit of math to even out the assignments of the cetegories that have a range. Height for example has a range of 14 inches. I divided that by 6 and got 6 2 inch variations and then rolled the die again to see which set was 3 inches. Same with age. One could go with 2 dice and really slim down the categories but that would likely end the game too soon.

There are numerous category selections on rentmen.com. Another way to play the lottery game is to take a die and assign a number to each answer for each quality and hit select. As you put in criteria, the number or escorts decrease. When you get to 1, you found your man. I just did a test run for NYC and wound up with Ronka. He is Arab, Between 35 and 40 I believe and 250 to 280 pounds and 5 foot 10 to 6 foot 1. Once I got to ethnicity and hit Arab, the game was over. To add a rooting interest, you can check each set of results and see if the fates pick for you the man you would have picked for yourself. In this test run, it did not but the fates made a very nice selection.

I have hired several escorts who are actors. Many here will recall Alec Andrews was a working, well at time working, actor. I am still in contact with a former escort who was an actor and even starred in a few very low B films. He is now on a documentary which is on the air and he is playing a Boy Scout Leader accused of molesting his troops. Another escort who is still active is a working actor who I have seen on TV several times. He also works awards shows and show biz Hall of Fame inductions in the hospitality section. As a result, he has dated several recognizably famous actresses as well as being hired by a very popular female singer.

I think what you meant to say is: "Its not you, its me"

I understand this is question which has been posed many times. In this case, it was posed to me the interviewer by the interviewee. And though it has been posed to me in different settings in slightly different ways, my answer keeps changing and so I think this is probably a question worthy of reflection. This is not a question of regret, but rather as a means to see how one has grown and how one's actions and values have changed with the benefit of the wisdom of age.

I was performing an interview today and the person I was interviewing asked me: As I am 30 years old, what advice would you give to yourself at 30. A kind of flip the focus question and one that has been asked in general conversation but I do not seem to recall a discussion here. I said, that I would tell my 30 year old self to be bolder and more confident. I find what regrets I have, and regrets I have a few (and quite a few that I won't mention) are related to lacking self confidence and boldness. I have much less trouble with that now. So anyone care to say what you would tell your younger self. I dare say 30 but I know I will get quite a few answers related to them not being 30. So essentially what life lessons have you learned which you wish you learned sooner?

But woman is right there in the word. Woman ce. It may be that it is not needed on a social level but the portmanteau is spot on.

I was playing Words With Friends and played the word BROMANCE with no problem. That was months ago. In playing today. I was looking for a good word and tried WOMANCE which it was not an acceptable word. I figured that a bromance that women had would be a womance though I had never heard the word. So has anyone ever seen this word used? There is a wikipedia heading for it but it is very brief and there is an apparel company by that name. So anyone use this term?

I agree in that the focus changed frequently not only from show to show but with the same show. I would consider going back and watching all 156 episodes. One episode I saw this weekend had interviews with real politicians including Jimmy Carter. Gerald Ford and Bill Clinton as well as DeeDee Myers, Henry Kissinger and others. Their statements, usually 15 to 30 seconds long then lead into an aspect of that weeks story. It was extremely well done and getting those people to speak candidly about life in the White House and as President was captivating.

One of the basic cable stations locally ran a Thanksgiving Weekend West Wing Marathon. I watched about 12 different episodes. Most of them held up really well. Many of the topics discussed are topics we are discussing almost 20 years later, climate change, nuclear proliferation, Russian aggression, the Middle East, Rogue states. The show had a cerebral flow and a point of view but did not hesitate to show both sides of an argument though clearing leaning left. The drama was fast paced. The writing was witty and well crafted. I learned something in just about every episode. The acting was top notch. I would love to see something this good on TV now. I do not believe I was as big a fan when it first aired as I am now. Anyone else recall this show with fondness?

I know of a bi escort who was pursued by an Asian woman to invest in crypto. Part of the deal was a site where he could try his hand at it with no money, just data. On that site, he had earned about 15000 on the 100000 of imaginary currency he had invested. After telling how talented he was at this, he was tempted to invest with her. Fortunately, he decided to go a different way and invested independently. He lost about 20000 dollar in real investment. He might have been better off with the Asian woman.

I find myself too exhausted to pray after sex. So I pray before sex. I pray that I will be too exhausted afterward to pray.

It is a trope on situation comedies that the teenage son needs to be told about the facts of life and the father is nervous and tongue tied and invariably does a bad job or at times, the father learns somethings from the son. I am wondering if these sit down and explain the facts of life talks actually happen. So did the male parent in your life have a special talk with you about the "birds and the bees"? In my case, the only sex talk I had with my father amounted to him telling me and I quote. "If you are going to go out in the rain, wear a raincoat." Certainly words to live and love by. So guy, did you have the big talk or have you given the big talk?

There may be some men making huge money on Only Fans, but people get bored and move on. Todays hot sausage is tomorrows dog meat. To my mind, what keeps escorts doing well is the personal interactions and the relationship they build with a client. I may be naive about this, but as there is always someone hotter, younger, sexier, and more imaginative, OF stars will come and go. Whereas escorts can age gracefully with their clients. Escorts I saw ten years ago are still younger and hotter than I am and they know what I like and for me at this point that is a major plus. While there may be younger, hotter and sexier, it is not worth it to me to start teaching them what does it for me.

Yes but she was a bit on the crazy side. But thank you for making me laugh at the memory of that. I must admit I found it disturbing at the time but now it is just funny.
