Advanced Planning Vs "Same Day" or "Now"

I have an observation coupled with a plea for understanding:

 

At the risk of generalizing, it seems to me that the pros on RM usually prefer/require several hours if not a day advanced notice when making an appointment, whereas the guys on A4A will stop talking to you unless you are ready to unzip within the hour. In both cases, they seem to get annoyed if you request the other approach.

 

For example, I have had pros on A4A block me the minute I indicated I was inquiring for tomorrow, not the next 20 minutes. And as others have pointed out, even when the RM green light is on ("available") guys will explain that they are at work but could be there in about 12 hours... ; ) .

 

Just pointing out that what seems like common sense or courtesy to some can be the opposite to others. It is not always easy for us clients to navigate this stuff.

I'd say as a rule of thumb even when an escort has the "available now" status on it's best to assume that they won't always see the message immediately or be available right then and there. At minimum I'd say expect in general an hour or two but the escort may not be available until the next day. It's always easier I feel to schedule a day or two in advance.

The worst response I've had is "can you contact me closer"?

If I make contact 1+ week before I'll usually say "I know it's early" and close with "I'll txt you a few days before to confirm".

It is not always easy for us clients to navigate this stuff.

 

It’s not easy for us to be generally available 24/7 either as most of us do have other things we like to do outside escorting, or to deal with different communication styles and preferences of providers.

 

I do appreciate that you at least try to stay within the bounds of the escort as many guys don’t. But it seems that the overwhelming majority of us prefer appointments to be booked in advance. In fact, I’ve cancelled trips if I didn’t have enough advance appointments booked in advance, and the guys that like to book on a whim would text me and ask why.

 

All that said, I find it odd that anyone would object to an advance booking - it’s easy enough to schedule it and reconfirm closer.

Even if "I'm available" I'd likely need a couple of hours before I could meet a client. I'm likely doing other activities concurrently and not just sitting at home waiting for a client to book me... And I do prefer advanced bookings whenever possible so I can plan for it accordingly .

I definitely prefer advanced bookings. It’s way easier for me to schedule something than to randomly be ready to run. Especially since I’m very much willing to travel anywhere in NYC, but certain parts can certainly take time to get to by train from wherever I’m at.

 

I feel like I tend to get contacted by people who are looking for right now. I believe I missed out on at least two clients this week because they reached out to me while I was at my day job and they were looking for right now. Ah well.

My incredibly delicious RM regular has a full time corporate job that involves frequent travel, yet we are still able to meet up once a week thanks to advance bookings.

I heavily prefer being able to book a client in advance. In fact, I almost never do same-day appointments, and if I do, the appointment often ends up being on the opposite end of the day than the booking. This might mean I miss out on a fair amount of clients, but also I've found that at least in my area, the majority of clients that want to book "right now" or even like "within the next couple hours" tend to cum at some point before making real plans and then just go completely silent. Either that or the part of the process where you actually need to coordinate and make plans ends up turning them off and they go silent. I don't mean for any of this to come off as harsh towards clients... it just seems that a very, very high percentage of "right now" bookings are people who are never actually going to follow through anyways.

 

Also, believe it or not I actually do enjoy the work and I take pride it in; often I can't meet "right now" because I'm not going to come meet you in the same condition that I'd make a quick trip to the grocery store in. Even if I'm all done up and out and about already, I'm still going to want to go home, shower, spruce up and pamper a bit before going to meet a client. Of course I'm saying this when my look in my avatar on here is a fair amount underpar from what I would actually want to look like when meeting a client lol. But I think I made my point anyhow.

 

Also just another quick thought... I don't at all see hookup apps like grindr or scruff or anything as competition, and I don't use them for meeting clients because I know people on there aren't really looking for providers. But it does confuse me a bit that people would want to book "right now" when pretty much anyone can jump on those apps, regardless of how they look, how old they are, or how 'discreet' they need to be, and probably manage to find someone to hook up with "right now". At least to me, this is so much more than just a "right now" grindr-type thing, so if that's what you actually want, why bother with the bigger experience and book a provider, instead of just going the other route? I really mean no negativity or disrespect towards clients that like to book "right now", I just haven't been able to figure that one out.

I prefer to plan things out as well. Even a few hours heads up helps out alot. I want to look my best and that's not going to happen if someone contacts me at 10pm and asks for me at 1030pm. Not to mention I'm in California where traffic is always a Hot Mess! When I get those "Right Now" requests....I take a moment...look at the time and carefully evaluate how long it will take me to comfortably get ready and arrive. I communicate that. If they say that is not soon enough...I appologize and wish them luck...and turn my Hulu back on and continue with my evening. It is interesting that there is a different mentality between A4A and RM though as far as preference for "Right Now" or "Planning ahead". I don't advertise on A4A right now, so I don't know of that experience. Hearing about the preference of others on RM I feel that my ad is on the right site. lol
