This is the second time in under three years this has happened to me with someone I'm really attached to. I'm strictly a top and enjoy fucking for hours (I keep extra viagra on the nightstand). Rimming, fingering, dildos, all things anal. I pull up closeup pics of my partner's anus on my 65" to masturbate to, my only "porn". I'm rarely interested in different guys and like the one I'm with more and more. It starts out as an escort date and progresses to long-term 3-5 years.

Three years ago after being in a relationship (live-in) for 3 years my partner split and after almost a year was wanting back. By that time he was developing hemorrhoids and try as I could, I could not get interested again. It was the hemorrhoids mostly. The emotional and sexual were still there. But so were the hemorrhoids.

Now after spending a half of every week with someone for a year (gf and kids in another city) he became a born-again heterosexual with a girl here for a year. Now he's wanting to get back (pent-up dick withdrawal desperation) but the damn things have popped up on him too suddenly. Big bloody ones outside and fingering him feels like sticking your finger in wet bubble wrap. After our all-night fuck Sat/Sun he says he bled for 4 days. He's a serious weightlifter and rides a motorcycle mostly so I'm hoping meds can cure or they'll disappear. If not........

Has anyone else had trouble with these things ruining a relationship? Any remedies ?

Hemorrhoids are very common. Nearly three out of four adults will have hemorrhoids from time to time, and weight-lifting...well, guaranteed. Ask Amy.

And congratulations on the most revolting forum post in years.

Worse than the various threads discussing shit in one form or another?

A high fiber diet should take care of hemorrhoids. It causes the stool to be loose and voluminous. It will pass more easily, with less friction, less tension and less irritation. And invest in better quality toilet paper.

I believe in extreme cases surgery is a solution.

I was confused by the headline's reference to "Someone Special."

I read the post thinking about all the things far, far worse than hemorrhoids that happen to people who are (and remain) "Someone Special" to someone else.

Hemorrhoids are just a (treatable) pain in the ass. In this case, not even a pain in your ass.

Yes. We all shit regularly unless we're constipated. Bleeding means something is wrong, potentially wrong or at least painful. (I'm not talking about menses here, which are a pain in the ass anyway.)

Curious-why are weightlifters guaranteed hemorrhoids-diet? Or just a joke?

Simple physics.

They strain repeatedly when doing heavy squats and other exercises.

Same mechanism as someone who strains while defecating because they are constipated.

The increased abdominal pressure is transmitted to the veins around the rectum.

The valves that normally help the blood return towards the heart....blow out.

The veins lose their ability to return blood to the heart effectively and become swollen.

And voilà you have a hemorrhoid.

Sometimes the flow is so bad that a clot will form...and you get a thrombosed hemorrhoid.

One friend used to swear that the best treatment for a hemorrhoid was a good hard fuck.

I'm not sure that's true....but I'm always willing to lead a fuck...to serve my fellow man!

Lifting heavy objects is one common cause of hemorrhoids. One tends to, um, squeeze.

You bring up an important point - and one that I agree with.

What is the WORST, in your opinion? Menstruation, hemorrhoids or anal warts? (For those of you feeling a bit squeazy about this - DO NOT google 'anal wart pictures'.)

Thank you.

I'm a little late to this thread, but to answer Baron's question.............Anal Warts! who on earth hasn't suffered from Hemorrhoids and while it has been years since I have had to deal with a menstrual cycle, it isn't one of those gifts that keep on giving.

My husband and I both lift weights and have for our entire adult life. Hemorrhoids, unfortunately, come with the territory. My husbands were so bad he had to have surgery and I can tell you it was no walk in the park. He could not bttm for 8 months and when the Dr gave him the all clear to have anal sex again, we had to start like he had never bottomed before. That was actually both hot and endearing.

However, to your question of ending the relationship over them.......no way.

To put in context the "someone special" has a girlfriend and 2 kids and is $300 per date +. And the only thing he does with men is oral and incredible bottoming, which he loves. He doesn't even kiss. Its a real physical barrier to sex even though he doesn't mind a little bleeding.

He hasn't done anything to help the problem. He won't tone down weights or even use Prep H, much less see a doctor.

Hemorrhoids suck. metamucil, 1 senokot, and a half a shot of milk of magnesia at bedtime. Makes you go like a champ. I had one that turned out to be a anal fistula. Had dr remove it. never came back. I have heard of guys who have had their blood vessels moved from the anus opening and others who had them stapled. Go to a colorectal surgeon/

As an aside to this convo, weightlifting doesn't mean automatically dealing with hemorrhoids. Knowing how much to squat and the wide variety of exercises that can build your legs will help someone ever avoid this painful issue.

Lifting heavy as you get older is an unwise move. Flexibility is your friend ;)
