Hey guys! Looking for some advice from the experts!

I know that building up clients and such is something that simply takes time. But I would also think that as with most things, there’s ways you can boost your visibility and proactively stir up interest. I just don’t have any idea where to begin.

I know reviews would help but I’ve only seen one client so far and he indicated that he doesn’t do this regularly so even though he seemed to have a great time (and genuinely, I did), I’m not surprised that I didn’t get a review from him. And too much time has passed for me to ask (saw him Saturday) plus I wonder if it’s even okay to ask.

I have my ad on Rentmen and now Rentboy.pro (it’s free, so why not?) Right now I just have a standard membership on RM. Would upgrading to gold increase my chances of picking up some more business?

Is there anything else I can be doing to promote myself?

So far I’ve gotten contacted by about five people. Three didn’t follow up (one was for an potential weekend trip but didn’t want to speak on the phone, which made me uncomfortable so I let that die out) and one I met and a second I’m arranging to meet. Maybe I’m actually doing well for someone who just started this late last week, haha. But I feel like right now it seems like the most I can do is wait for people to come to me and that feels very inactive.

Thanks for any advice!

I'm not an escort, but the obvious first response is to ask why you don't have a link to your ads in your profile here? I would have at least checked out your ad had I known how to.

My second response is that it's okay to suggest to a client to submit a review, but I would stop at one simple request.

How does one put their link in their profile? Probably a stupid question but I have no clue.

Thanks!

What's the difference in price between standard & gold membership??????

You're in NYC where it's over saturated with escorts, so many ads that guys need to pay for platinum boost just to be able to get on the first page. Sometimes the entire first 2 pages are full of platinum boost guys only lol. I would invest in at least Gold. I imagine most clients won't be looking through every page, so the further back you are, the less traffic you'll get...

Gold is $80, standard is $30. Definitely worth it if it even brings me one client I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

I have no clue about platinum.

Yeah, $50 a month is nothing these days, consider it an investment that will leave you greater profit margins. You can always downgrade back to standard if it doesn't work out.

From my understanding, Platinum Boost isn't a monthly membership, guys pay for it per day or something, & that one does tend to cost more...

I just started out too! Well, actually I've gone back and forth about it for a little while but I'm ready to get more serious about it now haha.

I'm sure Gold would definitely help! Where I am I still show up on the first page with the standard cost, but I think when the standard runs out I'll renew it with Gold.

Thanks for mentioning Rentboy.pro , I'll definitely look into putting an ad on there as well as rentmen. I was originally going to post a thread asking about places to post ads and find interested clients haha, but I figured it'd be better to just add to this thread.

Where are you at? I wish I was in a city where I easily showed up on the front page!

detroit area haha. I should put my link in my signature like that :) good idea.

Yeah it’s a good idea! I noticed the number of views my profile receives yesterday was up! I’m guessing putting my ad in my signature here had something to do with it. (If only those extra views resulted in bookings!)

You can draw traffic to your ad by attaching your ad link to lots of different types of content, not just your posts on this site. For example, posting nudes on social media accompanied by your ad link is a great way to draw traffic.

That’s interesting. I honestly have no clue how to utilize social media for this.

I think the idea is something like, for example you could make an instagram account just for this, and then post selfies or whatever other pictures often, add a million hashtags to the pic, and then have the rentmen link either on your instagram profile, or on everything you post. I do social media promotion a decent amount for non-escort related stuff haha. Idk if there's a huge difference in how you'd do it for escort stuff or not. I would guess not.

Right, except Instagram is not sex worker friendly at all and will delete your account if they realize you’re an escort. Twitter and Tumblr are much more adult content friendly. You can do it on Instagram too, but just without nudity, and you have to be prepared to lose your account at any time.

But otherwise yes, you’re exactly right.

I’d politely suggest that your ad needs more

pictures. There are only 3 pics and only one

of those pictures shows any skin at all. And

one of them has you fully dressed and covering

your face with boxing gloves...lol

You don’t have to go bananas and post tons

of pictures, and I don’t think “R rated” pics

are required. I’d say 8-10 various shots in

various states of dress and undress is a

minimum to attract attention.

Welcome!!! Some thoughts:

When I'm making a final decision to make the phone call/text someone I try to imagine how I will feel after spending time with them: exhilarated... like a number on an assembly line... anonymously fucked hard and hung up to dry ... warm & fuzzy feeling... as if I've spent time with a blow-up doll. Different strokes for different folks.

Everyone has different preferences, but mine are:

  1. At least one photo with a smile:

    1. I may be delusional, but I think I can tell allot about someone by their face and eyes so lots of face pics, especially informal ones, are great and grab my attention. If I can't see a face there's no way for me to get a sense of what kind of person he is.

    2. A brief G-rate video is great if the quality is good. I can get allot from seeing & hearing 15-seconds of someone saying hello.

    3. Body shots - chest, torso, abs, ass, etc - are great if done well.

    4. X-rated pics are fine unless they're distasteful. It does nothing for me to see a selfie of someone bent over in front of a dirty bathroom mirror spreading their ass cheeks apart.

[*]Profile text that demonstrates that the person is, in increasing order of importance, 1) safe, 2) legitimate (who they say they are), 3) intelligent, 4) professional, 5) is client focused with a great attitude, and, 6) has some sensual empathy and depth of soul (the best :D ).

[*]An expression of his interests - I really do want to know what a companion enjoys. It not only shows that he's thought about what a couple of hours might be like, but if our interests align then things are more likely to go very well. If you love kissing then that's helpful to know... if you enjoy being dominate, toys, roleplay,

[*]Many profiles mention things that would happen with a client on an overnight: the opera... museums... watching Netflix & eating popcorn. I've never understood why guys put these things in their profiles. If I'm going to hire someone for more than a couple of hours I will have already met them and not be looking at their profile to make that hiring decision. The profile gets me to hire the first time (which is going to be 2+ hours); I don't need it after that first meeting. If the expression of interests is to get an idea of who someone is ("I love my 3 rescue poodles") then that's helpful.

Definitely great advice! I need to take more pics stat. I don’t have many with facial hair bc I just grew it out a month ago. And I don’t want to post any without since it’s my current look. I’ll work on that over the next day or two. Certainly I can get another few pictures or so.

That all makes sense! I think my profile fits a lot of what you’ve said, content wise. Any chance you looked at my profile or could and let me know what you think? Just content wise. Thanks either way for the advice so far!

I’d echo what others have said... a more wide variety of pics (and a boxing one with your face visible). Perhaps break up that big block of text into spaced paragraphs; I’ve also seen good profiles with 4-5 bullet points at the bottom with the essential info for the people just perusing the list quickly.
