I do always wonder how those escorts with those lavish apartments in midtown and how they get them, bc obviously you can't use escorting as income and provide paystubs for them :p so they must have rich guys signing off for them, or they probably give some good cock/ass to the renter every now and then hehe

Lol...well the thing is, some people probably were there before A) they were escorts and B) had other job to use or C) got in either before the rent went high, thru a private landlord, etc.

That said, I still in 30 years...cannot see the appeal of moving to New York in this day and age of 2018 versus all the other cities in America. I feel like the whole move to New York (and Los Angeles) with a suitcase and a dream, was a thing of the 70s and 80s. People did it back then, and succeeded. Nowadays, it just seems risky. All it's doing is fattening up the wallets of these greedy slumlords, who just take, take, take...and only do upgrades when you move out. America continues to praise and "you go girl" high rent and high priced hotels. That's why 99.9% of gay guys don't have their own place/privacy. High ass rent, meant for straight "professionals" with dual incomes and shit. You don't always have to move to the city, to make big money moves. I could likely make $600 quicker in the desert of New Mexico, than I could in the streets and hotel sheets of New York. I know because I've done it many times, versus putting up ads in New York and getting nothing but some fucking bullshit ass replies that made me want to postpone my trip.

Even if I could afford New York on an escort salary, that's a lot of nutt busting to be able to keep up with the prices. Plus, I don't plan to give up either of my cars...Insurance runs less than $100 a month for two. Cheaper than a monthly metro pass probably. In New York, it's parking, it's insurance, this/that and some.

I've not yet worked in New York, but I feel you can get the same New York "experience" in Minneapolis, San Francisco, DC...but without the pressure that goes along with being in NYC. Even though SF is kinda sick with it too, and D.C. will be getting about as saturated as NYC.

Do you know many escorts with lavish apartments in Manhattan?

They exist. I can name at least four who live in rentals on the park, just above the treetops. We're talking $12-15k/mo minimum for that view. I don't understand dumping that kind of monthly income on something you don't own, but to each their own.

As a property owner, I wrestled with the idea of renting out two homes in very desirable vacation spots. Ultimately, I knew I'd be a terrible landlord, so I now take a profit loss but sleep a lot better at night.

EDIT: I was genuinely curious as to what one of them paid in rent, living on CPW, so I called him this evening and asked. I suspect there's some third-party help in there somewhere, but the number I was given was a staggering $20k/mo. Yikes.

@Benjamin_Nicholas Wow, if I had that kind of disposable income, I would be hiring escorts each morning and they would have Folgers in my cup. :p

Hey Guys --- After All of Our Advice it does not appear as if the Author has been online or Posted since March 9th

Hello, I have lived in the LA area(I know it is a good market) but I've been here all my life and sick and tired of it. I'd like to move and start fresh elsewhere (NYC) and see more of the world. I've been seeing/hooking-up with older gents almost exclusively for over a year now. It's just what I like, so I might as well make a living out of it. However, I'm unclear about a couple of things.

1.) I'm 22, white, 6ft, slim, with a twink body but straight, masculine attitude, well-hung(very thick with good length). Cute face, so I've been told. Kisser, mostly top, but working on bottoming. Do my attributes, namely my body type, put me at a disadvantage considering all the muscled hunks? I understand people have different tastes, but is there a market for my type in the city? Ideally, I would eventually like to earn at least 80K to 90K/year, is this an attainable goal if I'm fully committed?

2.) Is an in-call location absolutely essential for maximizing profits? I like saving as much money as possible and investing, so I was considering sharing an apartment and doing outcalls exclusively. If I live on my own, would a studio north of 100th St be an unwise move? The train system makes the area accessible, right? Or is the location itself just a turn-off for clients?

3.) (unrelated to NYC) I've read many escorts travel. How is it possible to make more money like this, as opposed to staying in one city, when airfare and hotels are so expensive? Paying rent at a place you're not using, paying for travel in addition to that, and charging the same right just doesn't make sense to me. What am I missing?

4.) Not expecting a clear-cut answer here, but how do escorts explain to their friends and families how they can afford the lifestyle they have? I can't think of a believable cover-story. What can I say when they ask what my job is? They know I love in investing, so there's a start, but still working on it.

Sorry for so many questions and questions within questions lol. But thank you all for reading them and making an effort to help me. I've been reading this forum without an account, and it's been so informative. You guys are awesome and thanks for everything you do!

Not entirely surprising...

Well that was quicker than a New York minute...

Not to insinuate, but how do we know these escorts are "just" escorts? I've come across a few "escorts" who boast of having nice places...but that "deal" on the other end of the phone was just that. A Deal.

In my personal experience: there’s often more than it seems. Despite people touting how discrete and nonymous they want to remain, there’s a select few clients out there who are totally fine with letting a provider live in and/or operate from their place.
