The math looks fine to me.

It is a very new website, only 3 months old. My blog is older.

After a month and a half of started, they had an existential crisis and the main investor left. They have been trying to overcome the crisis with a new vision for the last 6 weeks.

They are few, they are not making any money, they do not make the changes as fast as we would like them to do.

That's all fine as long as they are willing to live with the consequences, of which a few harsh words on an internet forum should be trivial. Instead, for most of the thread there has been a lot of deflecting (other people do it!), externalization (look what you made me do!), and other rhetorical and logical fallacies.

 

You love grandstanding. Do not complain when they get defensive.

 

They could have reset the website and started over. Since it's "free", no one could complain if it went away for a while. I'm pretty sure they don't have free web hosting, so this could have even reduced operational costs. They are beyond defensive, they are trying to absolve themselves of any responsibility for their actions. This thread could have stopped pages ago if they weren't so stubborn about defending bad practices.

Just not to answer anything like we have not changed anything??? Now we found another way. We will just leave the forum. Hope it will help better and will not seem rhetorical any more...

the funny thing that boomxyz keeps bringing up about the escort in mention in my posts is that age was never ever mentioned by the escort in his email to take down his ad. yes it was incorrect in the rentboy ad. 6 years older than he really is. where did you get that information from that he was 6 years older than he is when his rentmen ad states his correct age. out of thin air? how did you come up with the age you originally put in his ad? and i have seen his driver's license to prove his age. so you created his ad and put a false a age up. the escort sent an email that never ever mentioned his age being incorrect yet after the email was sent to you to take down his ad with nothing whatsoever mentioned about an incorrect age about 30 minutes later the age was mysteriously corrected to the correct age of the escort. hmmmm posting an ad without ones consent then putting in knowingly false information. this is a bust no way about it. guys i see a real problem brewing in the future with business ethics of this nature. i believe that this comes very close to libel.

Rentmen had been doing the same for years. From the year of 2003 till the year of 2015 (The collapse of Rentboy.com). It’s just part of the business. You guys didn’t blame them so much only because they have been always kept distance between you and them. We tried to do the opposite and to put ourselves not above you, but near or even lower. Finally we have received much more blaming than anyone.

It shouldn’t be a problem at all. Escorts we decided to create profiles for received the keys for the profiles. We received “thanks” in return. The real problem in this particular case discussed here was our mistake about the escort’s age. That’s why he decided to revenge here:) We are sorry about that age mistake

 

so if a friend jumps off the golden gate bridge would you do that too?

You can keep blaming the messenger(s), or you could take a deep breath and think for a moment why your decisions are making folk (many folk, as evidenced by this thread) uncomfortable with your site: listing guys without their consent or even knowledge, bedding escorts with the promise of some sort of favoritism, etc. Claiming you've changed your methods based on our feedback while simultaneously belligerently defending said actions shows that you still just don't get it and casts a long shadow over your endeavor and fundamentally your judgement.

 

I suspect people want to hear "we now understand why that was a bad idea" rather than "you're dead wrong, but if it'll shut you up we'll stop".

I read the whole thread & didn't see much hate at all, just criticism (& a few bitchy comments here & there) like any new site/business usually gets. You guys just took everything too personal, & didn't know how to be open & honest about your intentions/business practices. You guys also never knew how to respond well, but I give you a pass on that do to English not being your first language(?).

 

I wish you guys luck in finding a new hobby that isn't as stressful as running an escort site. #StayStrong

I don’t think you will give the actual reason, but I am pretty sure the economics of your situation must have weighed significantly into this decision.

 

As for calling us haters when we call out your stealing of escort information from other websites without the escort’s consent, that’s just a Trump move, and no one is fooled by it.
