Blocked By An Escort

I was windowshopping on Rentmen. I’m not hiring anymore, but no harm in looking-or so I thought.

 

I then looked at my account-at the ‘Who Saw Me’ Section. An escort named Jamezdean from San Jose, saw that I had perused his ad. While I remembered seeing his ad, I wasn’t 100% sure that I had actually clicked on it. So I decided to look at it. When I clicked on the link, it came up ‘Profile Unavailable’. Now I didn’t contact this ‘pornstar’ in any way shape or form. And I don’t think I really have anything offensive on my Rentmen profile. In fact I don’t think I really have much info on there at all. So I’m not really sure why he blocked me.

 

I’m very befuddled.

Happened to me earlier this year with an escort on RM. In my situation though, I'd regularly check out his profile. Guess he didn't like that and blocked me.

I don’t think I checked him out multiple times. Even if I had, I might have been an interested peruser. It seems counterproductive to me.

he (Den/Denpower) was discussed recently here and, apparently, seems very much to think this forum and the people on it are as bad as it gets......if you remember, he was chased around in a thread last summer and constantly changed his handle......I've told him by text that he really has nothing to fear here and his actions make him suspect......

Thanks. I used a different browser where I’m not signed into RM, and I perused to my heart’s content.

 

I just thought it was unusual. I mean my profile is pretty innocuous. It says something like-‘I don’t know what to write’. Then below that it says, ‘Didn’t you read what I wrote above?’

All you have to do is to update your privacy settings. Choose the option to not be trackable.

I use this privacy feature and find it very useful. I have to admit that I'm a little more obsessive about a couple guys than I want them to know. I check their ads just about anytime I go into RM just to see what they are up to and where they are traveling. Don't want them thinking I'm a stalker. Lol

Thanks for this post @Gar1eth. I encountered the same thing with JamezDean. I thought maybe it was a system glitch or a bogus post that RM was blocking. I actually don't think I had even clicked on his page before he blocked me. I cannot imagine why he'd block me. As suggested, I logged out of my account and took a look at his pix. If he hadn't blocked me he'd probably be someone I'd like to hire, but his odd approach to customer relations is a huge red flag for me.

There was a thread alluding to the fact that many providers look at a market and block the clients they do not want to see, based on their details. I had an odd experience once with a provider who blocked me, but continued to text me and ask if I would communicate only via text, yet he would be online on RM and I was blocked. He denied blocking me and suggested I contact customer support. What a weirdo. Then he got upset because he could not understand why I would call him a liar. Hmmm. I can view his profile when I am logged out, but not when I am logged in. Ciao buddy!

Similar situation here - there was an RM provider that was of interest to me (Blackretreat), so I checked out his profile and it said only to contact him the day one is ready to hire. So I did not contact him that first day (I was not looking for an immediate hire) and when the next day I was ready to hire him, I tried to contact him only to find out that I had been blocked.

 

His loss, my gain.

Its the internet! The modern-era phenomenon that's provided everyone the ability to act out the most trivial of social impulses. Dont worry about it.

 

Some people act out their discontent. Many use their fingers to express the rage and hostility they cant verbalize. Some need attention for their intellect or insights. Or they simply have wayyyyy too much time on their hands.

 

Anyone exposed to urban life can remember encountering the nutjob, standing on the street corner, screaming at passing cars or shouting at the sky; now he has a smartphone.

 

I'm not suggesting most or even very many people are acting out online.... just that we are exposed to way more impulsive expressions than ever before, and that includes previously unexpressed negativity.

 

The best approach is to not worry, not seek logical motivations, and to take neither offense nor the burden of understanding on oneself for others' online actions.
