Xoxo is a

Peruvian Inca Orchid (hairless).

I (Ace) inherited her with the marriage. She quickly came to rule the household as Her Royal Highness.

I'm from a country people who don't believe in naming animals until they survived a couple of years, and they had better carry their weight around the yard/house. We also had a pack of hunting dogs that were just numbered with Clorox on their sides.

To say the least, Her Highness, Miss Xoxo has been an adjustment for me. I do love her, though, but if you ever wonder why my left arm is bigger than my right, it's not from self pleasuring. It's throwing the damn tennis ball for the damn dog!

I know many of us have pet names for our cocks, our lovers, our cars, but I was curious about Pet Names for our Pets.

I have four dogs: Bonehead, Ben; Bear; Brandy and have had other dogs Kismet, Taylor, Holly, Bailey, Fred, Rusty, Sassy and Baxter. I suspect that there are others on this forum that have had a Ben, Bailey, Fred, Baxter and possibly a Sassy or a Holly. But Bonehead seems to be a unique name. Any other uniquely named pets among our brethren?

We had cats when I was growing up - Bo and Luke, named after the Dukes of Hazzard. My grandmother got a cat around the same time, and my brother and I got to name her. We chose Daisy, to complete our DoH family.

Fitting that you would have a muscular hairless dog. Just as it is fitting that I have and overweight shedder with no apparent self control.

Lol...well, there is something to be said for the idea that we become our pets. No hair for me and Tyler gets so tan in the summer you'd think he was Nigerian!

No pets as a child - mother didn't want.

1. Oliver Wiswell, a salt and pepper Miniature Schnauzer - named for the novel by Kenneth Roberts about a Revolutionary War Tory. And where my internet name comes from.

2. Gillian - a coal black Cocker Spaniel - after a character in a novel. She was beautiful, but dumb! The dog, not the character.

3. Shadow - a charcoal and silver Miniature Schnauzer - came with that name, he was a rescue, but it was appropriate both from his coloring and he followed me everywhere. Many of you have met him - he was an honorary escort and definitely gay.
