Hey guy I believe Oliver has already announced that the No Host Dinner (usually at Trio) will be on Saturday, April 14th and his hosted Pool Party will be on Sunday, April 15th. I STRONGLY recommend that if you haven't already made hotel reservation you do so muy pronto or you might find yourself out of luck trying to find a room at any price at any hotel. That weekend is the first week of the Coachella Music Festival so rooms will be at a premium.

Some of us have booked an extra room so do not despair if you are roomless in Palm Springs.

How do forum members recognize one another on the days before the dinner? I realize those who have been to one or two or more might be familiar, but what us about first timers? Is there a secret phrase? "I'm here for the Baldwin/Kesslar nuptials. You?" "You LIKE the deviled eggs, don't you?" "That Rob sure can't keep his clothes on." Really, how? Cue purplekow. :rolleyes:

Super Junior it is kind of hit and miss. At the Canyon Club and INNdulge many of the guests staying at those two hotels will be participants. The easiest answer is simply ask. I taught in a public high school for over thirty years and at the beginning of each school year we had to wear name tags -- I hate the fucking things. At Trio prior to the dinner almost all of the participants meet in the bar and most of us approach anyone we don't know and ask. I, for example, am easy to spot, I'm ten years older than god, I'm bald and I wear glasses.

There is a great line from the old musical, Brigadoon, when the Van Johnson charter describes himself and "ancient, decrepit, and rapidly falling apart". I'm rapidly getting there.

Wayne said, "Are you guys here for the escort weekend?" Needless to say, they weren't.
