We've had threads on transmen as male escorts...

Has anyone heard of intersex escorts?

Does this strike anyone's fancy--or, "bleh"?

I had to look up the definition again. This is plucked from

the "Intersex Society of North America" website.

“Intersex” is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male. For example, a person might be born appearing to be female on the outside, but having mostly male-typical anatomy on the inside. Or a person may be born with genitals that seem to be in-between the usual male and female types—for example, a girl may be born with a noticeably large clitoris, or lacking a vaginal opening, or a boy may be born with a notably small penis, or with a scrotum that is divided so that it has formed more like labia. Or a person may be born with mosaic genetics, so that some of her cells have XX chromosomes and some of them have XY.

Call me crazy....but I'm curious. Some of the "intersexed" look really good. I almost hired one in PHX, he's a massage therapist....looks amazing. Then I read he still had her equipment. It intrigued me....but before I even contacted the guy...I chickened out. I'm not sure if I would be too weirded out and I wouldn't want to offend the guy. I wonder how they get their clients comfortable? What do they do when the client gets really nervous? I think he offered a little extra at the end of the massage and the idea of experiencing him made me wonder how different it feels. Maybe one day I'll give it a try.

I'm not quite sure what "intersexed" means, but I hired a FTM escort once, and it was some of the best sex I've ever had. I wish more men had vaginas. And I wish there were more gay FTM's who weren't tattooed to the hilt, as most of the FTM escorts I've come across have too many tattoos for me to find them attractive.

Trans isn't equatable with intersex. Intersex individuals are what used to be called hermaphrodites. They have ambiguous sexual or genital presentation, sometimes because of chromosomal anomalies. Wikipedia is actually fairly helpful here:

Intersex people are born with any of several variations in sex characteristics including chromosomes, gonads, sex hormones, or genitals that, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, "do not fit the typical definitions for male or female bodies".[1][2] Such variations may involve genital ambiguity, and combinations of chromosomal genotype and sexual phenotype other than XY-male and XX-female.[3][4]

It feels weird to be explaining this to a physician.

How would someone explain his or her attraction? Instead of asking for explanations from others, what about opening your mind and accepting our diverse experiences and preferences?

I do not get being attracted to a man with a vagina. I asked a legitimate, objective, and sincere question of those who do in order to help me understand. My query was neither closed-minded nor unaccepting.

There are transgender men here, you know. You can ask us.

Thank you. I have wanted to start such a thread, but have hesitated because of concerns of reactions such as those of @latbear4blk. It would be good if this were a safe place to share what turns us on about the people to whom we are attracted, but alas, it is not.

Ironic, you call out @latbear4blk who thinks an open mind is a good suggestion in his post, yet you seem to have a fairly closed mind yourself. Forest, trees?

It's probably not explainable to you because the presence of a vagina is a deal-breaker. That's something that pretty much is part of the deal with non-intersex trans men.

The bigger question is whether you can explain your preferences in a way that doesn't amount to "trans men aren't real men." Perhaps a focus on what genital presentation does for you will help. Or just say you're only attracted to cis men and leave it at that.

None of this deals with intersex escorts. I suspect there aren't very many of them and that they are probably more marginalized than trans escorts.

They used to be called hermaphrodites. Is intersex new?

*points upward to post #9*

Intersex is newer and has more of a clinical ring to it (hermaphrodite is considered dated because it suggests the possession of the entire range of both male and female organs, which is inaccurate), but I can't say when intersex was first used or who coined the term. Maybe someone with easy access to the OED can answer that question.

The existence of intersex people is a big thumb in the eye of binary gender. Some intersex individuals have XX chromosomes (usually associated with female bodies) and masculinized genitals. Others have XY chromosomes (usually associated with male bodies) and feminized genitals.

The above post also notes how unlikely it might be for an intersex person to expect to be in a relationship where they feel safe having sex with another person, which is why I'm skeptical about the existence of intersex escorts.

Then we read a novel, Golden Boy, by Abigail Tarttelin, in which a British teenager named Max Walker grapples with being intersex. Just at the time when he is starting to date, and wondering how he'll ever explain to a love interest about his body, he gains from his doctor more information than he ever had before. He asks: Is he really a boy or really a girl? The answer comes back: He is neither.

Good fiction stirs deep feelings; Tarttelin's story allows my students, teenagers and those recently teenagers, to map flesh and blood onto the science. In the book, Max's parents and brother each respond in their own, sometimes explosive ways to his situation and, at times, Max despairs:

"I realize that I am going to be intersex my whole life. Years and years and decades and maybe for seventy years I'll be like this. And, unless I find someone who doesn't mind having sex with me, I'm going to be alone all that time."

Would you be so kind as to explain the attraction? I don't understand it at all.

I am attracted to uncircumcised men with naturally smooth or shaved torsos. Were someone to tell me he or she did not understand the attraction and to explain it, I would do so. I would do so without thinking that person to be closed-minded or unaccepting. I would understand he or she to be curious about what appeals to me.

The intent of the question referenced above was to share among ourselves what draws us to the people with whom we have sex.

If you can accept that premise, that's great. If you cannot, that's cool, too.

Your explanation is fine for me, but I can easily see why you might have those preferences, which aren't a lot different from mine. Uncircumcised penises glide more smoothly and have other advantages, like the possibility of docking. Whether you like hairy chests or smooth chests probably has a lot to do with texture sensitivity and aesthetics. I prefer smooth chests too because at some point hair gets to be too much and it tickles.

But I'm not sure what could easily explain the attraction of men with vaginas to those who aren't interested in them. The best I can suggest is more holes to play with, but that's more of a reason why it would be easier to engage in group play, a gang bang, or use sex toys while fucking.

I like uncircumcised penises for the reasons you mentioned, and because there is more for my tongue to play with during oral stimulation. I like smooth chests because I don't like licking hair.

I can see the appeal of having more holes to play with, and understand anal and vaginal penetration provides a different feel.

Thank you for the reply.

I do know some intersex escorts but very few intersex people have the genital configuration that you might be assuming. Many intersex conditions result in development of secondary sex characteristics commonly associated with one sex with the genitals of what is commonly associated with another, or perhaps genitals that look different from cisgender peoples genitals but aren't 'one penis and one vagina'. Most intersex escorts I know 'pass' aka present themselves as either transgender or cisgender based on how their bodies look because its a better marketing decision.
