Funny piece of advice from years ago, for navigating the Tenderloin neighborhood.

The trick is to talk to yourself as you walk through the area, spitting on the sidewalk every two or three steps. No one will bother you.

As someone who has lived over 30 years in SF that actually makes sense. I would never act that way but it may work.

One of the first things I learned living in NYC is walking fast with my head down. Last time I was in SF I saw that most people in the Temderloin were talking to themselves or some nonexistent entity. Karl’s worth whatever technique you use.

I booked a session with Karl for later this week at 8AM - am I better off just ubering it versus catching a train and walking?

I wouldn't worry about walking in that area at 8am, but I've lived in San Francisco for many decades. Sure, there will be some sketchy people in that area at every hour of the day but they don't really faze me. There are sketchy people on the street in many areas of San Francisco -- far more areas now than used to be the case.

. I spent a week in SF the last week in August this year. I walked in that area every day before 9AM and there was almost no one on the street in that area. I second what was said. I am wary of walking in strange areas and I had no problem and no cause for concern. Good Luck

I wouldn't so much worry about the Tenderloin at 8 AM. It's MUNI that I would be worried about. :) Depending upon from what station you'll be boarding, be prepared for an intimate experience possibly especially when the little Chinese grandmas push on board. They look sweet....

Everyone seems to assume you asked about transportation due to concerns regarding the neighborhood.

Perhaps they know you, and/or your concerns.

Where are you coming from? Are you simply asking for "best mode of transit"?

It's my first time in San Fran visiting over seas, staying in Castro. But I was definitely more curious about safety in the neighbourhood - it sounds like walking is fine in the morning

Take the MUNI underground from Castro to Van Ness Station, then transfer to a 49 or 47 bus going north on Van Ness or you can walk all the way to Karl's place in about 20 minutes.

I had an amazing experience with Karl yesterday. I can echo everything that has been said here - great balance of technical skill with truly sensual elements sprinkled throughout. He is adorable to look at and his body is rock hard. Loved admiring his beautiful abs :) But he also seems like a kind and thoughtful soul. His spa experience is evident in that he takes care with small little touches that one doesn't often encounter when visiting these solo practitioners. When I arrived, he had a basket and towel set up on the table. He explained I should place my clothes in the basket and the towel was for me to use when I showered after the massage. Post massage, I came out of the shower to find Karl folding my clothes and laying each item on the massage table for me. I was charmed, obviously.

I also wanted to comment, or rather thank you guys for making this forum so valuable. I've used Daddy's reviews for years to vet escorts and usually been happy with the results. I never ventured over to this forum section and have found a treasure trove, which in some ways, seems more helpful than the reviews section (with all due respect).

You guys are great! Thank you!

When I saw him doing this while I was in shower (door was open) my first thought was that is odd, why is he touching my clothes. Then I realized that was a simple kind gesture that makes you remember and appreciate the little details and that he does not think of clients as just someone hiring him but as a valued customer.

I had him in Taipei - his massage skill was excellent. His style is very traditional Chinese massage so really really deep tissue on the legs. It was after weeks of sight seeing, trekking, more trekking (Sun Moon Lake and A Li Shang) so was totally travel weary. I remember almost on the edge of being in tears because his massage was so deep. But honestly, afterward, i was ready for more walking and sight seeing. I returned the following day to see him again but unfortunately he was already booked. For me the massage was purely therapeutic so... HE was offered but I was with a travel companion at the time so didn’t need it. :)
