Tri, LOL, your post recalled an incident when I was at law school and was invited to a classmate's home for dinner. She was Jewish and I had never been to a Jewish home for dinner in my life, having grown up in a WASP ghetto. I too had read enough literature to believe that every Jewish momma could turn out a mean dinner at the snap of her fingers.

 

I'll never forget the look on the invited guests' faces when the dinner was plunked down on the table. The only part I clearly remember, other than the fact the food was tasteless and overdone, was the look of the carrots. They still had their green tops, had not been peeled, and I could swear the dirt still clung to them as if they had just been pulled from the ground! Perhaps noticing that I had pushed them to the side of my plate, my hostess made a pointed remark about how healthy it was to eat the skins of vegetables (dirt and all I supposed). With that I felt I had to take a little nibble. Ugh!!

 

Since then I have had some wonderful Jewish cooking, but that first experience will stay with me forever.

You know, I didn't come to this room to fight. I made a post in another thread referring to the David Barton steamroom. It had nothing to do with anybody here. I felt I had something to say because:

 

A) I go to David Barton, so I know about the place.

B) I actually met my partner of 8 years in the steamroom.

 

Now, I know thats pisses some of you off. There was no one in the room that day, no one was bothered. It was fun, and spontanious, and I wouldn't trade it.

 

The damndest thing is that I don't even have sex in the steamroom anymore, I outgrew it awhile ago. In fact, I find the easiest way to deal with guys fucking in the steamroom is to start talking. Just run your mouth for a few minutes, it clears out the sex addicts lickity-split. It's really pretty funny. You should try it sometime.

 

I would have gladly kept it light, but I was unprepared for the vitriolic response. I had forgotten why I stay away from these groups. So my ego was bruised, and I went for it. And then it escalated, and well you know the rest.

 

There's a million other things I would like to say, but I'm gonna keep that shit to myself. I've never really felt this newsgroup was a safe place for escorts, I still don't. It's just too easy for people to let a side of themselves show that they normally wouldn't in a face to face situation.

If you feel that something you post might have a detrimental effect on your business, make a non-escort username & post under that one. What I've posted hasn't always (or even usually) been received with acclaim, but I don't think it has harmed by business at all.
