Rash of newbie postings making me testy...

Ok, as a newbie who undoubtedly posted some previous questions, I will be more mindful and search the previous threads. My initial enthusiasm in joining the site got me excited to actively participate, overlooking the many previous topics that have been explored and fully expressed. I find this forum empowering, as I have always kept my hiring providers as a dirty little secret that I need to hide, be ashamed of, and bear all the risks of being uninformed alone. Being able to read others observations and experiences has really helped me get a better perspective on this noble profession, and is helping me gain more confidence in exploring my sexuality and not being afraid to be direct in seeking what I want, and what will be a mutually positive and healthy experience, versus just taking what you get, whether it's right for you or not.

Apologies in advance for my snarky replies to the huge influx of newbies who resurrect old posts, re-ask old questions, start a flurry of postings.

My bad, it's a grumpy curmudgeonly week here. (everyone know where the "search" box is?)

also... "long time reader but only recently decided/got the courage to post".

Is that too much of a coincidence?

@mike carey ... I've followed your posts and they are always positive and informative... Why can't other "high class members" of the forum be more like you? I guess they are just not as comfortable with themselves as you are ! Please stay positive.

By the way... I meant to write "attacked". Damn the autocorrect... But it's sad how much energy and negativity by few in this form to attack me like that... Sometimes I wonder what's the point of these forums if you can't express your opinions or be yourself?? May be as an elder statesman you can shine some light? Thank you sir!

One of them created a profile specifically to attack a very well-known and highly reviewed escort, waited for the blood to disperse and then stopped posting.

I finally agree with you on something! ;)

Well, it does say 'newbie' under their avatar and forum name. Are some simply new to the forum and what its aims are, of course. Are some here with malice aforethought to advance some sort of agenda? No doubt, but they are usually readily distinguished from a 'genuine' newbie. Should they reopen old threads (or should anyone)? Sometimes it provides useful context to discuss the subject afresh (of course, sometimes it is to flog a dead horse). It seems that whether they open an old thread, or start a new one on the same subject, someone will complain so they can't win. This is a living furum, not a reference book, so topics will come up for discussion anew all the time.

As a newbie, I tended to read the forum by looking for new posts, and anything that you haven't read shows up when you click on 'new posts'. I know I kept reading old threads before I realsed that it had been there for five years, and could easily have inadvertently commented on an old post. I eventually went through the process of marking every thread as 'read' to reduce my potential spend time reading old threads. Not everyone would bother.

I love reading what the new enthusiastic newbies have to say. And @MileHigh I can only hope you enjoyed being attached in here.

we know that but @mike carey shaming allegedly HIV positive guys is not a good way for a newbie to introduce himself in this forum...

I can't wait to read new reviews to really know who is actually hiring in this forum.

If I had contributed to anything other than fun or edification, I sincerely apologize. I really am very happy to have found this forum and I hope I won't overstay my welcome.

Now let me go back to waiting for my appointment.

Good evening to all!

Baby... You don't need to apologize for bringing a breath of fresh air to this forum... For some, it's just too much hotness brings animosity! Especially for those who get off on reading these posts but in real life can't do shit!

Oh... And @LoveNDino, when you do finally get off topping your bottom for the past 6 hours, please do share how it was... But PM me, as we don't want to upset anyone here who are too emotionally (and probably physically too) weak to handle all this hotness!!

And if a search produces results, I suspect (myself included here) we don't always check the date of post in the search result? Hit reply and it's resurrected

EXACTLY!! When I first started and was searching, I realized I had read and commented on a 2011 post! We can all easily scroll and ignore those posts we choose to ignore.

Chill! This is a place where we should all feel free to share any experience and ask any question.

We are all men with varying sexual desires, needs and experiences.

Let's just concentrate on understanding and helping each other.

I want to insist on how much I am enjoying the influx of new blood here. The enthusiasm is thrilling, I want to embrace all newbies but also I want to advice cooling down and being aware of a few important things.

This is not a place to share ANY experience or ask ANY questions. There is an owner who maintains this website and has established pretty clear rules. This is not a democracy. These rules are out of questioning and must be followed. Make sure you are not breaking our "constitution".

Be understanding and respectful of other members seniority. There is a remarkable increase in participation, restatement of questions that have been answered plenty of times, resuscitation of old threads that may be waking up not so good old memories, etc. Be patient with the "annoyed" tone of some of us, it is our way to ask you to research the archives first before bringing a topic to the table. I know how frustrating and discouraging is when you, full of enthusiasm, come up with a topic you think is intriguing or interesting, to be received by a choir of not so friendly posts referring to previous discussions. Use the search box before posting a new thread.

In some forums there're threads pinned to the top. Read those, specially the one about trolling.

Bottom line, be respectful of the culture here. We can see how much you all seem to like this space. I love it too, but I know that all the good stuff going on here is possible because we have some norms that create the proper context for our exchanges.

If you feel someone is not welcoming, do not get hooked in the negativity, do not get into quarrels. You will have time for those once you know better everyone here. Focus on the positive reactions.
