Speaking for myself this bothers me. I understand that one cant be attracted to everyone but to be mean and callous is very unprofessional. I've never rejected a client because of looks but have had to decline because of the fetish. But even then I did it in a very nice way and never (I hope) made the client feel small and unworthy. To be fair, like us that hire, escorts can be selective too. At least he was forthcoming rather than engaging you, meeting, not providing the service you paid for and taking your money. That said and without full context, he should have probably been more tactful.

I don't agree with these two generalizations. While you have encountered a handful of escorts who seem to think escorting is just like hooking up with the added feature of a financial transaction, the vast majority of escorts do not operate that way.

I read all these threads about various reasons clients get rejected and I think to myself, "What's going on?" I have never been rejected for any reason.

I don't send pix of myself, no escort has asked for my stats tho I will volunteer that I am 68, HWP, physically fit - nothing more.

These things can be so strange. There are young guys out there who are really into older, bearish men, including ones with bellies. Some of them have to be escorts!

 

When I go to phone sex chat rooms, just a photo of my hairy chest is enough to attract an almost endless supply of younger guys who are into top "dads." I don't say this to blame the client, or excuse unprofessional behavior. It's just an observation.

 

I noticed the same thing when I was active on Grindr. If I was in a confident, sexy mood, and in a city with enough other guys that we weren't used to each other, then I'd get a lot of responses. Feeling insecure? It would be as if I were invisible.

 

When I was hiring escorts, it was similar. When I was married and conflicted (seeing guys with the approval of my wife--that's a long story), things never quite worked. When I was comfortable with myself, and comfortable with hiring, my experiences were great.
