I posed this question on my Twitter...but thought I'd ask here, as nicely and non negatively as possible (see, I'm trying). I've also addressed this before, but I have to revise it for 2017.

It's a place often touted as having lots of money. Lots of potential. Trump and family comes to roost here occasionally. No surprise there. I don't if know if it's a socioeconomic thing or a class thing. I had 2-3 people reach out to me over the weekend and they all flaked. Doesn't matter what time of the year it is. Since my parents moved back here, I've come about 3-4 times a year. I thought about relocating here, but with the level of bozo-ness year round...I'm not rushing it.

I'm specifically speaking about Orlando, but its similar in some of the other Florida cities as well. Tampa is especially flaky. And in Floeida it's always lots of talk, lots of time...but no action. Usually the only clients I meet are the ones who come down occasionally from up north. I meet good clients, but it's far less than what it should be based on the contacts.

And of course, wouldn't be fair to not mention the real endangered species:

Ok, so to follow up to this...the other day I met with 2 clients in separate cities. Which is good. I showed up and they were there. So since this thread, I've met with 3 clients.

Now, based on the ones I meet...I can conclude that more than anything, it's likely I can conclude many guys in Florida have been "burnt" by guys who say they are coming and don't. That seems to be the #1 concern here. Clients often push the issue of whether I'm coming or not, because "other guys have said they were gonna come, had them waiting, and didn't show up". I always say..."Sorry that happened, but that person cannot speak for my integrity."

It's all understandable, but it makes it such a difficult market when nearly every client I meet talks about how they got conned or ripped off. And the pressure is placed on you to prove that you can do it differently. It's like the job I used to work at out of high school, "reselling" timeshares.

It's definitely a 2-way street.....good escorts find good clients / good clients find good escorts....the way that good, errrr God intended.

I agree, Lest there's any doubt in your mind...as I'll assume there's some underlying concept there, I did have a Florida client the other week send me my full donation before I even met him. I didn't even have ask for it. He wanted to "prove" that he was serious. Now, I don't expect that, but if people here did practice good faith more fervently, I wouldn't need to have this discussion.

Now, before anyone starts, by endangered I meant in "in limited supply or not at the level it COULD be". Someone out there is probably gossiping over the PMs that I just put down on good clients. No, it was tongue in cheek.

I live in Miami and will tell you people here generally tend to be suspicious of others. We are the fraud capital after all and I'm sure there are con artists who are clients as well as escorts. It's tough meeting anyone who is "real" here - lots of fakes, flakes, posers and users...so yes it's a tough market!

I appreciate that you are trying not to be negative but unfortunately your post is still a negative one. Perhaps you can make positive responses to other threads or start threads that are positive and uplifting. Sounds like you're still contemptuous of the biz and clients. It's worth some more self-analysis.

I mean yeah, that's the overall vibe. I actually got accused of having counterfeit money the other day here in Orlando. I got a $5 bill from a gay bar that I hadn't given a good look at. Ignorant fast food workers didn't have the decency to tell it was actually a novelty $5 silver exchange bill that looks like this:

But then I'd be critiqued for bragging and not being humble. It's not negative stuff, it's reality. It's stuff that has to be discussed. Clients and escorts come to Florida, they need to realize the challenges that are going to be present and decide accordingly or amend whatever it is necessary before or during their stay here. The clients in Florida fucking do my head in and they're either overly needy, pushy, or low-balling. Fucking head banging shit show here. Unfortunently, that frustration transfers to the behind the wheel and I'm forced to drive like a goddamn maniac like everyone else. I usually have to run everybody off the road here because they drive like idiots too.

The only positive thing I can say is there is a good oppurtunity to meet international and traveling clients here and see some nice hotels. But it's just not been steady enough to make it sustainable.

I wrote this thread when I was here couple months ago. I left, and now I'm here again for different reasons. And once again, I can't get a single fucking iota of business. I'm literally working and making like 1 hour per week here. Un-fucking-acceptable. Ain't no way in hell I'd consider moving here. I'd starve, and have to return to regular work. Even that wouldn't be enough. At Least in the summer time, it seems things get extra slow. But anytime of year here is slow. And nearby towns like Tampa and Sarasota that used to be somewhat decent, hardly a goddamn phone call.

And in all my years of travel, I see Florida tags in most every state in the country. Meaning people are either getting out or going back to wherever they came from. Despite that, it's still a busy, congested, over-populated place with lots of people. It's just that people who know better get tired of this shit and move on.

But since you insist, I'll say I was quite positive and uplifting as this song played in my head while shopping Lennox Square Mall in Atlanta and a couple malls in Florida: (even though it's rap music which I can't imagine anyone here likes, I like how the setting took place somewhere around the Joshua Tree national park near Palm Springs...a popular gay destination that is similar to South Florida)

He's asking why FL is so bad for escorting.

I've always heard it's challenging in FL for escorts - a buyers market. I go to Ft L a couple of times a year and it might be better there for escorts. More gay tourists I reckon and more gays in general.

He got the question and he's answering it, calling fl a buyer's market.

Besides, a thread does not need to be about answering a question, it can perfectly be about sharing an experience or thoughts. I think @Mocha is sharing a negative experience but it is doing with sense of humor and lightness. We have kicked his sexy Black ass a lot in the past for making self-centered, bitter generalizations about clients. When he tries a different approach we should recognize it and celebrate it. And he is trying really hard and doing a really good work lately.

And no, I am not planning to hire him anytime soon. My budget is dried.

You didn't have a case to rest. You made a comment and I addressed it. I respect that you made a suggestion and want me to post more positively, but like I said...some things bare mentioning. Maybe if we discussed certain things once in awhile, understandings can be made and perhaps made into a better place.

Besides, a thread does not need to be about answering a question, it can perfectly be about sharing an experience or thoughts. Thanks for trying to understand. You're right, there really wasn't a question posed in the thread. It was an overall observation with an invite to share experiences.

I live in FT lauderdale and I can't tell you how many guys have flaked out on me. How many guys have made travel to them and not answer a text or anything. It's rude and tears you down a little bit. Same thing with the guys who just view your profile a thousand times and don't speak or reply (pic collectors)

I understand. However, I would tend to disagree with you on what you're calling pic collectors.

There are many guys who enjoy looking, and I suspect many of them are considering whether to hire, but having to deal with their own schedules and overcoming the uncertainty of engaging any escort, or trusting the ad, or the fear of not knowing what to expect.

South Florida also has a lot of scamming.

I can't tell you how many times I've set things up, or sent messages/texts to escorts and they've not responded or flaked out. More times than I care to admit I've set something up, and been left hanging, or had a no show, or shown up at the guy's guest house/hotel and they are out (at the gym, lost track of time, etc...), or not given an address. My suspicion runs very high when that happens.

So, FTL is a difficult market on both sides.

Man, if you do not like your profile and pictures watched, you may need to move to a different profession. I do like your self confidence, assuming that people would like to collect your pictures. Just in case you may be wrong, let me show you why I click in escorts profiles, often:

  • I am using my phone and have fat fingers. I clicked in his profile by accident.
  • I am moving around the house with my iPad, ooops, I touched his thumbnail by accident
  • I checked it once, I forgot I did not like the pictures, I check it again by mistake
  • I checked it once, I found it ugly, so ugly that I had to check again to see if the pictures were changed
  • I checked it once, I found it ugly, so ugly, that I had to show it to my friends
  • Some one posts the link to the ad in the forums, I click on it, oops, I am taken to a profile I had checked before and did not like
  • I am bored out of myself, I start to check random profiles

I am sure I would remember more if I wanted to.
