For all those of you who enjoy the "Friday Funnies," our oldest continuously active thread (since 2010), please pause a moment to remember its originator, jackhammer, who left us two years ago yesterday.

Thank you for the reminder, Charlie. I'm so glad I had the chance to post with him and to enjoy his legacy, the Friday Funnies.

He was one of THE nicest men I ever had the privilege to spend time with...GREATLY missed!

(I actually can't go to a restaurant called "Bahama Breeze" here in Vegas without thinking of him....).

Jack was my blackjack buddy. Numerous times we played together, nursed a cocktail, had great convo, laughed, commiserated when we lost, and of course, paused as necessary to ogle a hot piece of eye candy strolling by, or even better, who sat down to play with us.....hehehe! :)

Good times, better memories, an extraordinary man. He lives on in me.

He was the first member of this site that I met when it was HooBoy. In many ways he actually changed my life. I'll never forget him and be grateful for having spent some good times with him. RIP.

It's Monday, January 20, 2017, and I am reading this thread for the first time. ...was not aware that it's been two years since Ray left us. I met him via this website as well as in person when he was in Rio de janeiro. ...we went to a lovely Japanese restaurant which was not too far from our hotel and chatted for hours. Upon our return to the States and to California, we communicated with each in person (when I stopped by his place) onward to my abode as well as via emails. He has been missed, for he was such a sincere, thoughtful, and just overall genuine, good man! No pretentiousness there!

I think you mean it is February 20. Ray died on Feb. 12, 2015.
