I met a guy who has been masturbating with his brothers, his father, his cousins and his uncles since he was old enough to do so. He's gay and kind of deep in the closet, but he didn't realize that this was not common until he started to hook up with guys who didn't have similar stories to tell. He grew up in homes where there were always brothers, cousins and uncles sharing bedrooms and beds or coming by for a meal, and it was common for the guys to beat off and trade handjobs in small or large groups. It's much more common among the men on his mother's side of the family, but these guys are often dropping by one or another's place with a bottle or some weed for a stroke session.

Supports Freud's belief that people are innately bisexual but due to cultural and psychological forces they gradually identify as "straight" (a really inappropriate and phobic term); we all have latent bisexual urges - and for many, it doesn't take much for these urges to "pop up" given the right circumstances (e.g. going off to college, army, decreased fear of getting caught while on business trips, loneliness of elder years, etc.). Years later Kinsey's research supported Freud's theory of bisexuality. Unfortunately society often acts as though sexuality is a dichotomous choice.

Wow. "Bear Weekend" is about a group of frat guys who end up at a gay bear resort for Spring Break, recommended (wink wink) by one of the guy's uncles when their resort of choice was full. Watching the final orgy scene, I'm wondering about the uncle and nephew at future family gatherings. :-)

I never joined a frat. And I have to think that most of the stereotypical stories we hear about sexually-tinged hazing isn't really true (damn, lol) - but I assume some of that does go on. And sure, on the outside, the idea is the daring of it - the rite of passage of doing something taboo, something you would never do of your own volition, something that supposedly builds you up by making you incredibly vulnerable, etc - but underneath all that, I have to imagine, some of these horny boys are just finding an excuse to experiment with some hidden desire and curiosity for male/male sex. And loving it. :D

As for the incestuous side of things - again, I assume such families as the one mentioned by Nvr2Thick are not that common. But I also wouldn't be surprised if there are families where brothers (especially if they share rooms, etc) might do some j/o experimenting that is more a way of bonding than it is outward sexual attraction. Yes, we surely all have crazy fantasies about all that (I remember a very cute set of triplets in high school - all straight as far as I know, but I just always had to wonder if they ever shared anything lol) - but I do bet it happens.

Well, Bear Weekend IS a porn video, so lots of unrealistic situations there. But definitely fantasy fuel. The second or third scene, Roman Todd wakes up naked in a strange room and finds Jaxton Wheeler in the shower. "Come on, you said you were up for anything". "I said that?" "There's some stuff we haven't tried yet". "I said that?" "You and your buddies, you made a pact..." and they're off showering together :-D

I promise you I am not bisexual at all. My tallywacker has never had a significant response to a member of the fairer sex.

This thread is really starting to poke at me. Some of the posts misunderstand psychological research and our modern understanding of human sexuality and gender identity. It's difficult to discuss these topics on this forum without spending alot of time writing extensive posts, and sadly I don't have the time. I guess I'll just say this:

For "sexual orientation" Freud is sort of a starting place in Western thought given his Innate Bisexuality work derived from Fliess. Even today, we don't have a very good understanding of all those "internal & external factors" Freud discussed OR about "innateness" to use Freud's term. Check out "Biology and sexual orientation" for a good overview. We know from Kinsey's work, that sexual orientation, romantic orientation, and sexual activity orientation all operate on separate continua. (NOTE: Kinsey lumped it all together under sexual orientation when he did his seminal work on the Kinsey Scale.) The Wikipedia page for Bisexuality is a good place to start explaining this stuff.

And for fun, read the Wikipedia page on Gender Identity to start and piece together how it all comes together.

If you want some fun books, here are some of the biggies:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_Reports

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexualities:_A_Study_of_Diversity_Among_Men_and_Women

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bisexual_Option

Biological Exuberance: Animal Homosexuality and Natural Diversity

And if you ever get a chance to see the Against Nature? exhibit, which started in Oslo, run to it. Fascinating.

Exactly so. My romances have been two-thirds with men, one-third women. My physical erotic response is almost evenly matched between the sexes, only a little bit stronger toward men than women. My hiring patterns have fallen about in the middle difference between those two measures.
