Hey, this post triggered a memory and I want to say something about Justin Baylor.

I once had an appointment with him planned in advance for a free evening I had during a business trip. It was in Long Beach, July 2013, planned a week or so in advance, and he would have had to travel from wherever he stays in LA. I cancelled the night before -- roughly 24 hrs in advance -- because I was feeling off. Didn't quite realize it at the time, but it turned out to be flu. In any case, he shot me back an email that was angry but articulate, basically saying he had held the time for me, he was going to lose income, and it was unfair. There was something about the way he pled his case that struck me as really authentic -- and I reflected on the fact that we'd exchanged emails, he had asked me what I like and responded in spades when I outlined that I wanted him to be a very eager bottom, essentially that he had prepared and invested some customer-focused energy in the event. So I offered to send him a check, he accepted the offer and gave me an address, and my karma was righted. Its stuck me that Justin handled himself -- and stood up for himself -- really well.

Have no idea if he is a member, but using this opportunity to say thank you for that experience just in case. It served me well on a subsequent occasion when I had to cancel at the very last minute with Alec Andrews of all people for a very different reason -- was having a pre-Alec dinner in DC with a client, who learned during dinner that he'd just won a big contract I helped him land. Celebratory alcohol flowed, and much as I would have like to celebrate myself by plowing Alec I didn't want to show up the sloppy drunk slurring words, and we were that far gone. So I called him, cancelled and offered to pay for an hour, and he gave me a PayPal account to use. It was actually a really fun exchange and felt win/win basically because I'd already processed the impact my action in cancelling had on an escort thanks to Justin.

Still kicking myself for missing Alec. This was just before he retired. Que sera. Wonder if I should explore a rain check! ;)

Also remembering LOL how sick I ended up getting in Long Beach  -- July 6 2013 indelibly imprinted. Ugh, on my knees before the porcelain throne, far from home, too sick to get on a plane - a special ring of hell for 2 days. The life of a consultant -- c'est le guerre.

I love this forum!

I think that is noble of you to still send Justin money, but man, you had the flu!! It's not like you stood him up or canceled because you found a better escort or you just weren't in the mood. I would like to think an escort wouldn't want to catch a contagious disease.

With that said, I wanted to clarify that I have been with Justin once before and had a great time, but it's been several years. He sometimes crosses my mind and I think about hitting him up again for another session but i usually research the escorts that promote themselves more. Out of sight, out of mind. When I don't see his name pop up when i'm browsing rentmen, I forget he exists.

Yeah, but in the moment neither of us knew it was the flu -- that realization rolled in a couple hours later. So, its not like he took advantage. Wonder if he's still as hot as his reviewers said -- its been a few years.

Still...if someone told me they were sick I would PREFER they not come over and glad they told me as opposed to swapping spit with someone who could give me the flu.

But I digress....I wonder the same thing if the experience will be as hot and satisfying as last time.

This is great karma. It repays, in the great circle.

I go on here about hiring stripper boys at $200 for an overnight and so on. But I also give them like a $100 tip which more than delights and affirms, take them to lunch or dinner next day if they want which can sometimes shock them for being treated like a person, have them back next night if we're both still around, etc etc.

The more you give, the more you get.

You had the flu and cancelled with fair amount of time. You were a very nice guy to be convinced to still send money. I'm sure he appreciated that.

Most professional escorts would just chalk it up and gracefully email the guy to feel better, not worry about it.

I'm glad Justin is still in the biz! I hired him 11 years ago at my hotel. He might have been 22. His ad had no face pix - boy what a nice surprise when I saw him at my door! Handsome sexy young man. Enthusiastic too. One of my best hires ever.

Right, but we'd set this up as a two hour appointment and he had probably about an hour of travel each way from LA to Long Beach where I was. So he had made a commitment, and again he communicated this in a way that was compelling -- some initial anger, but no insults and he had a rationale for why he was disadvantaged. If this were an appt that hadn't involved 2 hours of travel + two hours of time, I wouldn't have been as convinced that his request was fair.

This has been said before, many times on multiple threads, but experience with JB are extremely varied. If you search this forum for "justin baylor" one can find a long series of comments, almost arguments, about whether his pics are fake, whether he takes cash advances and doesn't show. Other speculation too about age, differences in experiences, and so on and so forth. I probably won't hire based on these. Just too much smoke here in addition to the weirdness of $300/night thing discussed in this thread, must be some kind of fire.

It is a mystery. I have not met the man, but two friends of mine i.e. REAL people I know in the flesh not online buddies - have met Justin multiple times and rave about him. They have enjoyed his reasonable rates for overnights, I don't think ever as low as $300. Temporary need?

I have no reason to doubt the veracity of those who sing his praises, dovetails what my clients-coffee-klatches buddies says

since we have still another Justin Baylor thread going, I'll chime in that I met him only once about six years ago at his place in Hollywood (on a second floor facing southeast, just south of central H-wood??)....none of the various pictures over the years purportedly of him seem to match what I remember he looked like....I remember an energetic, not-bad-looking, dark-haired, youngish (mid-late 20s? six years ago), very friendly and relaxed, chatty, fun, masculine-enough-for-picky-me dude in decent shape (not utterly muscled-up)...eager to please and an eager bottom comfortable with mild role-play.....vaguely looked like what Justin Bieber might look like in just a few years, sorta.....does that match anybody else's recollection??!!

don't quite know why I never went back....too many other dudes in LA to check out?

And just to be clear, I DO NOT speak from personal experience. I was about to contact him after following his reviews for years and trying once before -- "eager bottoms" are my special interest. But then found ALL this stuff over MANY years. Just sharing my decision-making process in deciding to pass in favor of more consistently reviewed providers whose rates make sense to me.
