He was born in Zimbabwe and moved to Australia as a kid when his family was forced off their farm. He now plays rugby in my city. He runs charities helping people in Zimbabwe. He has refused to marry his [female] partner until equal marriage is the law in Australia. He called out a homophobic slur on the rugby field in a professional match (with the result that the slurrer went to a Sydney Convicts [gay] rugby practice session to make amends).
