Shortly after, got a questionnaire email from the hotel. I don't remember any of the questions except for the last one that asked if I was gay or straight. I was so shocked, and nervous at the question, I responded straight.

I have been surprised at how often this is still an issue. It feels generational to me. Young people who came out in junior high don't even notice questions like these. But Boomers and Xers often remember a harsher time and hesitate. I still tend to think that asking orientation questions needs to be prefaced by a statement of support for the "older" generational cohorts.

Very doubtful the casinos care. I used to visit very often, when I had a lot of miles to burn. One particular trip, more than a decade ago, I "spent" a lot of money. Shortly after, got a questionnaire email from the hotel. I don't remember any of the questions except for the last one that asked if I was gay or straight. I was so shocked, and nervous at the question, I responded straight.

Unfortunately, just after, my job duties changed, travel was no longer required, and it was years before I got back there. The points expired, and I was no longer pursued by the casino. I can only speculate, had I answered differently, and continued to visit, I may have had my first man experience 10 years earlier, on the house.

One big spending trip wouldn't be enough to get them to send you a guy. I mean maybe if you dropped 6 figures on the trip, but I don't think they would initiate that for you or even suggest it. That's not to say a concierge or casino host wouldn't hook you up if you asked.

I go to Vegas several times a year. Once you've been there a couple times the female sex workers are pretty easy to spot. The hotels don't care about them as long as they are with someone - what they don't want is the ones who are trolling the grounds looking to pick up a client, as that risks them hitting on a cop or offending a customer who isn't there for the hookers. If you see a woman lingering in the elevator bank she's likely a hooker - she'll get in and ride up any car a guy enters and hopes he'll hire her then if he doesn't she just rides it back down and waits for the next guy.

Hotels usually just check room keys at night. Certain floors/suites may require using the key in the elevator itself. But otherwise they can just come right up to your room.

Something tells me you would not have received a male or female escort on the house. I'm a little surprised they asked whether you were gay or straight. That's one of those questions companies typically do not ask in surveys. If they do, they might ask "What is your sexual orientation" and then list several choices.
