My dear True, this was a most appropriate gif, as it represents the three stages of birthdays, at least for me, and displays the brilliantly.

The first is when I was a kid and age meant little and birthdays were all about parties, cake, ice cream, and lots of presents.

The second is when I was a young adult and I wondered when I would stop looking like a teenager.

The third is now when a coworker, upon learning my age, he remarked "I thought you were in your early 40's!!" and I came to appreciate my age.
