Been using wet wipes for years and it just cost me 700 dollars for a plumber to open up a clogged sewer line full of used wet wipes.

Dude wipes... Lol

Masculinity so fragile... (Not personally at u @rvwnsd, just the fact that that's a thing)

Oh, I know you weren't. I cringe at the name. However, they have a superior product. Whatever chemical is put in scented wipes irritates my skin. These don't.

Here's the thing, LIguy - Wet Wipes are not flushable, as you learned. The Cottonelle wipes, One Wipe Charlies, and Dude Wipes are flushable. They break up easily when flushed.

I had one plumber tell me NONE of them are all that good for your pipes. But i'm not throwing my cottonelle wipes in the trash can. I'll take the hit of having a plumber out once a year or so.

Not what I expected -- I thought that you were going to talk about current and past boyfriends/partners

Boy have I got stories for that thread!

I'm in good terms with all of them, and I (mostly) remember the good times.

They're actually causing issues at sewage treatment plants. I saw one report of vast piles of them at a NYC plant. They don't break down like regular TP.

That's why on my boat we use them, but they get wrapped in standard toilet paper and placed into a ziploc sealed bag and in the trash.

Have any of you ever rebuilt a marine toilet while aboard? It only takes once to make sure everyone observes the marine toilet rule aboard many boats "if it hasn't passed through your body it doesn't go into the head" (toilet)

I had an embarrassing dermatologist visit a couple of years back I was afraid I'd contracted some STI but it turned out it was irritation from butt wipes. The doctor said she actually saw a lot of it and the chemicals really aren't good for sensitive skin. She recommended a washcloth if it was really needed.

I've been using Cottonelle for years and not had a problem. My previous ex started putting Kleenex in the toilet, and that jammed things up quickly.

I have bidets at my bathroom at home, so I have no use for butt wipes (and my toilet paper usage has gone down significantly).

I do bring a few packets of Dude Wipes when I'm traveling. I don't flush them down the toilet though, even if the box says it's flushable. Typically I wrap a used one in toilet paper and chuck in the trash.

That's the sensible and logical thing to do! :) :)
