So that's what he meant, OK, perhaps he could have been more to the point, elderly drivers. I've driven a lot in Florida as well, but more in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area. While there are lots of oldsters on the road, I have never seen that many egregious examples of bad driving on their part although some were a little slow.

 

The really bad drivers are the hotheads who tailgate, jump lanes, cut in and out of traffic, and are generally rude and aggressive. These guys (and they're mostly young to middle aged guys)are a royal pain. And especially scary when in an SUV. For some reason, guys who drive white panel trucks are among the worst. Go figure! x(

Just read through all of these and cant remember who said what but :

 

1) I have gotten a blowjob from a chick while driving (sorry to gross you guys out and I still drove better than most of the people on the road...granted it was a female blowjob and you know what they say :-)

 

2) Hummers look mad cool, but there is no reason for a woman to drive them...which brings me to my biggest point...DONT DRIVE A VEHICLE THAT YOU ARE TOO MUCH OF A PUSSY TO HANDLE !!!!!!! These people that have huge cars scare the shit out of me cause they look like they are about to lose control at any moment...many times it is some woman driving her husband's car...breeders can be so stupid sometimes:-)

 

3) I live in NY and drive in to the city all the time. I like to be on my timetable and not have to deal with the train. I live in Westchester (a suburb of NYC) and find driving in the suburbs more annoying cause of all the dumb ass soccer moms and MLF's that are too scared to just fucken drive !!! I find that the older generation of women just dont have the balls to drive like you are supposed to

Muff Diving On The Hollywood Freeway

 

Unfortunately, I think all of us can comiserate with the complaints mentioned by everyone here, especially the few of us who are often both pedistrians and drivers. I also ride my bike a lot, as well as walk anywhere from four to ten blocks away from my home (and back) and, of course, drive - this is Los Angeles, after all. We invited the drive through Starbacks here.

 

I think it boils down to a lack of paying attention; a lack of courtesy, common and otherwise; but mostly, especially according to the experts, I believe it arises from the loss of drivers education training in high school. I never had to take it and I never really have learned how to properly parallel park or make a "k" turn, or several other things I probably should know. When I took my test, fortunately, I did not have to do these things so I have a license.

 

They recently changed the law here in California so automatic renewals will no longer happen. You will get one automatic renewal, then you will need to be retested. I think such a law might be a good idea, albeit a huge inconvenience for many.

 

Oh, and I do not feel gender or ethnicity has anything to do with whether or not one is good driver or not.

This past Tuesday I was driving to work in rush hour traffic. I drove up to one particular busy intersection. I was waiting to make a left hand turn at the traffic light. I was the second car in the lane. Of all the silly things for a person to do at a traffic light is put make up on one's face. The car in front of me was a Jaguar and there was a lady driver. The moment I saw this particular fiddling with her makeup. I had a funny feeling that she would miss her cue when the left hand signal turns green. When the light finally turned her green, lo and behold, she was doing her eye lashes. It bugged me a lot, cause the cars behind are honking their horns. I honked my horn and whatever she had in her hand, she dropped it and she didn't move. She just sat there, the light turns red and I along with the procession of cars behind me had to wait another three minutes. It felt like an eternity.

 

When the light did turn green, she drove very slowly, I pulled up beside her and I looked over, she gave me the finger. I accelerated my speed of my car, drove by her and left her in the distance. I was pretty much pissed, cause I got to work five minutes and I was late for a conference meeting. I got a lot of grief for it and all because of one lady. In my mind, at the time I was thinking, what she did to me, I hoped that someone would do that to her. In a way I do believe in Karma. I had to subside my thoughts of spitefullness.

 

To change directions for a bit. I'm a pretty rough driver. Most of my friends are too nervous to sit in the passenger seat, with myself behind the wheel. They know I drive at top speeds. The more they complain, the more it becomes a thrill for me. Still a person like myself should practice defensive driving and so should a lot of people out there on the road.

I am going to receive so many bad responses to this that I don't even know if it is worth it, but here goes. I live in the D/FW Metroplex and the mexicans are the worst drivers. They are worse than the cell-phone-induced-trance females. I mean the "over-the -border" Mexicans. They rally just do not know how to drive or read a speed limit sign. I amm going to get such crap for this post.
