Yes, it all makes sense, however, I don't think undercover CIA agents in Syria go to that much trouble. Precautions should be in proportion to the level of risk.

Ya, I hear 'ya. I sorta chuckled out loud when I read your tongue in cheek response. I do see how to some on the surface it seems a bit much, or even time consuming. It can seem like I retired from the CIA, or something. (But I told you in my last post above, I'm Tom Cruise)

But let's unpack my suggestion a bit deeper than the superficial.

It really isn't very time consuming.

The time it takes to buy at the store a burner phone, data plan, and gift card: 15 minutes.

The time it takes to think of some fake name: 1 minute.

The time it takes to set a dedicated email for escort business: 2 minutes

The time it takes to Google another city's zip code and phone area code: 2 minutes.

The time it takes to register a burner phone: 5 minutes

That's 25 minutes total. It will only be done once so it shouldn't be counted again.

The time it takes checking into a room at a hotel and asking to be registered "incognito": 1 minute.

The time it takes meeting an escort in the lobby instead of your room: 5 minutes (put your valuables in the hotel front desk safe in this step)

6 minutes for this reoccurring section.

See, it's not really a lot.

But let's keep going. Some might not feel there is much risk to themselves nor think it's "worth it" to go thru all the above hassel. But what if you are the person who, once facing a criminal, you realize that being in the situation is much worse than you thought? Easy to be cavalier now, but once there, many would wish they cudda prevented this. Do you really wanna find out your that person at that time when its too late?

A bit further still: I strongly believe that when I make choices that reduce my risk, I reduce other clients risk, too. And I help escorts make more money. When a criminal is successful with a plan, they probably repeat it against another gay client. The criminal also probably tells one (or more) of his like minded (criminal) friends. Now the crimes against the gay client community in a city/region increases exponentially. And so on. Now clients in a city are reluctant to hire cuz they hear it's a dangerous hobby. Do you shop in the ghetto part of town or where its known to harbor more criminal activity? The escorts in that city make less money cuz there is more fear and therefore less hiring . Vicious circle where clients and escorts both lose.

It's the opposite where everyone is making choices to protect themselves: more escorts join the business cuz they hear about how lucrative it can be from their escort friends.

And more escorts means more JOY to clients. And who doesn't want that?

Love and Light to all.

Reviews - Terms and conditions

Escort and Masseur Reviews Terms and Conditions:

We welcome your Escort Review submissions, which aim is to present the Clients opinion of their personal experience with the Escorts. The RentMen reviews are star rating feature, where texts are not allowed. The Client is invited to evaluate his experience with stars (1 to 5, where 1 is disappointed and 5 - extremely satisfied), but also indicate other relevant information, as ambience, time spent, picture accuracy. Clients also can share information with the RentMen Webmaster and report the Escort for terms and conditions violated.

Escort Reviews are welcomed no later then two weeks after the meeting. Our verification process usually takes between 48 to 72 hours or more depending on the timing of communication.

As we build our Review content for each Escort we may decide to withhold an unfavorable review and publish it later when the Escort has more reviews to provide the reader a more balanced, objective perspective.

If you did not meet the Escort no matter the circumstance the Review will not be approved. Since the Reviews are subject of approval, RentMen webadmin has the right to reject a review if there is no evidence for communication between the Escort and the Client via the website.

Unresolved Review:

An unfavorable review that RentMen Administration is in process of confirming its accuracy between both the Client and Escort.

The one-star review I submitted was removed and I received the email below when I asked why:

We do post non-positive reviews. But when an escort only has 1 or 2 reviews that are not positive, we reject & hold them till more reviews come in. This allows us to make a good judgement of the escorts character. Your info is valuable to us & would be posted when more reviews from other clients come in.

So, when I see a persistent 1-star review on a profile that suggests that there are multiple other instances behind it.

EDIT: You can sort all of the RM profiles by rating - there are 103 pages of profiles. Ranked from 5-stars downward, the first 4-star review appears on page 92, so ~90% of the reviews are "Excellent",

The average rating drops from 3-stars to 2-stars on page 101 - 98% of the reviews are "good" or better.

I agree these Rentmen reviews are a waste of time. I know of a hustler in NYC & that is exactly what he is.... that had many negative reviews on Rentmen when they published detailed information about the encounter. The reviews stated how he ripped them off, was an asshole etc. Once they switched to their useless 4 or 5 question reviews...those reviews disappeared. However, he still had an interview on Rentmen stating that he is a "family man". Which is a complete joke as I'm pretty sure he is a meth head & know he is a con artist.

How reassuring to know that such a huge percentage of the escorts on RM are excellent (cough, choke.)

I give Rentmen some credit for moving in the right direction. They now flag ads where the escort's pictures and/or IDs have been verified. Presumably, these are advertisers who have agreed to this verification by Rentmen. The site cannot be expected to verify every single escort beyond a shadow of a doubt. That is not reasonable. Can someone cheat their system?--probably. NOTHING IS PERFECT! Rentmen seems to be acting responsibly, possibly as a result of pressure from members of Daddy and others. They cannot be expected to weed out every single scammer or (even less likely) to verify the authenticity of every review. At least, however, they seem to have a verification system in place which still allows them to provide the resource upon which many rely. The upshot is, clients should read the information RM provides, check with sites like Daddy for positive/negative word of mouth, do some research with Google Image and other Internet tools, look for red flags like absurd pricing or other irregularities, communicate with the escort to get a better feel for the kind of person he is, and use common sense. If after such due diligence, it appears that the guy in question is OK, then go for it. If not, take a pass and move along. You won't be right every time, but life is a series of calculated risks.

if I were an escort, I wouldn't send my govt ID to anyone. especially a website like RM. imagine when that server is hacked.

Exactly why RM makes it optional, not mandatory, I presume. My point being largely that Rentmen can do only so much in the way of screening and still maintain an interesting site. I wanted to give them points for trying. I can certainly see the reluctance to supply an ID.

Exactly why I sent my Global Entry ID in instead. It only contains my name and DOB. No other Identifying information, not even an ID # ( all that's on the back ).

And you have to jump through a lot of hoops to get a Global Entry card--documents, finger prints, security interview, etc.

The documents are a state / driver's license & passport, finger prints, interview consists of verifying your answers and providing a photo for the ID card plus doing the finger print scan. Not exactly that difficult to get unless you have a record of some kind.

And it costs about $100 and involves a special trip to the airport (always a fun time.) Upshot is, the Global ID means your identity has been thoroughly verified by the feds. I also have a Washington State enhanced driver's license which lets me into Mexico or Canada without my passport. Great that RM recognizes Global Entry as valid proof of identity.

One of the best $100 I ever spent!

I agree, Global Entry is great for those who travel often by air.

Lately, CBP has been revoking GE status of travelers for seemingly petty reasons.

Google "how to lose your Global Entry status"

You will find some unpleasant incidents reported. You will also learn to avoid doing things that could get GE revoked.

In view of the value of GE to me, I would not use my GE card as identification for anything other than travel.

It does save time coming back through customs from overseas--at least you get the short line, and you don't need to fill out the customs form on the airplane.

Now, if I could just get me into the express security line. The card is supposed to, but there are catches. It is only good for domestic travel, and the words prescreened need to appear on the boarding pass. When you purchase your tickets on line or perhaps when you check in (who knows,) you need to include your Global Entry number--good luck finding where on the website to do that. Alright, BUT not all airlines accept Global Entry or else the option is not on their websites. Frustrating.

Agreed

Using either your ge or passport for anything other than travel is playing with fire

  • 4 weeks later...

Similar situation: about 6 months ago, booked time with rudeboynyc in Manhattan. While I was preoccupied or otherwise distracted, he went onto rentmen site (of course I was logged on) and proceeded to write a glowing 5-star review of himself, posted it (as me, of course) then blocked me. I contacted the admins, who were reluctant to take it down, but after providing evidence of the situation, eventually removed the review. Unfortunately, he received no admonishment from them and in no way suffered from his unprofessional, thuggish actions.

Well if it's any consolation, he currently has 5 bad reviews and only 4 good ones.

Although I have never been with him, nor will never be, I know him to be a complete asshole. I would not trust him at all. Anyone thinking of hiring rudeboynyc think twice.

That is a very good point. When I see an escort with a huge number of positive reviews, either on this website or on others, I do not to hire that escort. It's a red flag.

I hope you are reading this, EOY-Baby!

As I have said before here, some of my worst hires have been the best reviewed and talked about guys here.
