Bill Kamal also held the same job in Washington, DC in the early 1990's at WUSA channel 9. He was known on the local gay scene here and could be found at Tracks (now called Nation) and Badlands from time to time. He hired a younger muscle stud as a meteorologist for the station; sorry can't remember that guy's name, who later did the early a.m. weather at WJLA channel 7.

There were rumors about him but none of those involved kids. However, I heard that management of the station did have issues with him about lack of discretion at times. (If I recall correctly his contract was not renewed by the station.) I witnessed a couple of incidents at Badlands in which he was "less than pleasant" and was obviously intoxicated. These may have led to him leaving the station and moving to Miami.

I think we all understand by now that you can't find any examples because you were lying. No point in denying it.

No one can stop you from feeling sympathy for pedophiles. But you just denied in a previous post that you do feel any sympathy for such people. You seem very conflicted on that point.

And Merriam-Webster defines "child" as "one not of age." So?

Do you have to lie about absolutely everything?

If you ever really try it you will find out.

If I were you I'm not sure I would quote someone who goes by the name "Serve Uncut Uncle" as an example in a discussion of the boundaries of sexual behavior in a civilized society.

From what I have heard about them, the sentiments you've expressed here would not be out of place at a meeting of NAMBLA. Why not join? If the authorities ever find out about it, you can just tell them "life is messy." I'm sure they'll understand.

"Part of a healthy normal sex life"? What are the other parts?

Let's take the case of a fat, plain, middle-aged or elderly gay guy who hires because he wants sex with younger, goodlooking men and he can't get such men to have sex with him unless he pays them. Would you describe that situation as healthy and normal?

By the way, that link works fine for me, but if you have trouble with it you might try this, which I believe leads to one of the same studies:

http://www.buildingblocksforyouth.org/advocacyguide.html#publicopinion

I'm usually reluctant to respond to requests for links from people on this board because most people who make such requests have no interest in getting a real response -- they ask in the belief that I am bluffing, and when they find out I'm not they just run away. I do hope you're not wasting my time also.

I guess the question I want to ask is hiring a prostitute "automatically" unhealthy and abnormal, in your view? To answer your question I would say "I don't know". I would want to know more before making a conclusion.

Yes thank you this link works just fine. There is a lot of information on the site. Just on a quick run through I'm not completely convinced the study supports the idea the general public is ready to embrace the juvenile justice reform the authors appear to want. But I freely admit to having only read the page and have not explored further. Thank you for the link.

I responded not to the question you "want" to ask but to the one you actually did ask. There appear to be plenty of people who visit this site who fit the hypothetical I posted. As I believe you know.

That is not how I characterized the results of the study in my earlier posts. My point had to do not with specific reforms but with the attitudes of the American public toward harsh, "adult" punishments for juveniles in general.

What other course would you suggest for your putatative subject to pursue? The raincoat method is so out of favor...

No, I'm not disagreeing with your characterization of the study. Your characterization of the study is fine. My comment ONLY refers only to my very brief consideration of the other material on thw site. Thanks again for the link.

How about simply reconciling himself to the fact, as another poster recently pointed out, that it is not good for his health to obsess over young men who are not really available to him?
