Mutual Touch doesn't mean I want to hold your hand.

Okay, folks. What does mutual touch mean when a masseur has that in their ad? I thought it was pretty self-explanatory, but was thrown aback based on a massage I had this past Friday.

So masseur was nude throughout but never brushed his body along any part of my body while I was on my stomach. He performed a very thorough and good therapeutic massage. I was cool about it. When he asked me to turn around, I did and saw a wonderful body. He continued on and once his hands moved to my erogenous zones, I took that as a cue that I could touch him back. The masseur immediately backed away and said "you can touch me anywhere except the penis. I find that to be too distracting." WTF?!?! What is mutual touch then? I didn't want to be holding his hand while getting a massage?

Is that normal now? Do I have to ask explicitly what mutual touch means to a masseur?

I think it's false advertising. He's on rentmasseur.com in LA as jeremie. Maybe he just wasn't attracted to me? Dunno but thought it was strange.

Mind disclosing who this is so we can avoid?......I remember having one like that years ago, the guy specifically advertised mutual and everything then freaked out and backed off out of arms reach when I went to touch (I even asked first too as I always do just to be polite). I never went back, didn't tip and honestly don't even remember who it was it has been so long ago (and he no longer advertises, I suppose he didn't stay in business that long with those morals) but yea, they are out there. Side note, I was muscular and worked out so I know I didn't turn him off unless he was into ugly LOL.

Are men who are not muscular and don't work out ugly?....o_O

I have never interpreted "mutual touch" as meaning that the client can touch the masseur's genitals, though frequently it does mean that. I guess my interpretation is more along the lines of this particular masseur, who was willing to let you touch his body apart from his genitals.

I actually give the guy props for telling you that he finds that distracting, assuming that's truthful for him. I'd rather touch a guy's torso while he's pleasuring me than have a guy become so interested in his own pleasure that the time runs out before my "happy ending."

I think it's false advertising.

Maybe you could sue him for some kind of consumer protection violation? Or complain to the federal trade commission about how his advertisement is misleading the public. Of course, that might be a bit awkward since the whole thing probably qualifies as a crime.

I like this approach...instead of blaming myself or the masseur/companion for th situation, how about just asking myself: what is the alternate story? I think society conditions us to assume negative intent. To manisoma's point, maybe his intent was indeed to focus on you and please you. By the way, if I hire a masseur, I look for a good massage. If I want a masseur with benefits, I hire an escort who does a good massage. ;)

Thanks for all the feedback. Just really wanted to see if there is mutual consensus on what mutual touch means. Guess there is not... Just like differences in how one defines erotic... I thought mutual touch was isolated enough an act to have a specific definition.

On another point... I love getting a great real massage and not looking for an escort. But when a masseur advertises mutual touch, this is the first time he jumps back when I try to reach for his junk.

I take my cues from the masseur. If he brushes his penis against my hand (or any other part of my body) then I take that as a cue he is OK with me touching his penis in return. In this case, he didn't brush it against me so I wouldn't reach out and touch it.

The title of this thread made me chuckle - for some reason The Beatles song kept popping into my head.

Oh please, say to me

You'll let me be your man

And please, say to me

You'll let me hold your hand

I'll let me hold your hand

I wanna hold your hand

And when I touch you I feel happy

Inside

It's such a feeling that my love

I can't hide

I can't hide

I can't hide

Anyway, I also always assumed that "mutual touch" means he expects you to grab his junk (or, at least, the same bits he touches). I guess these are the hazards of using our euphemisms. I'm not sure how to avoid this... perhaps casually mentioning when making the appointment how excited/gratified/anticipatory that you're able to meet a masseur who enjoys Mutual Touch. I suppose offering that you've made certain to trim your cuticles is a bit overt. o_O

He should advertise "Mutual Touch (EP). Except penis.

I think jdjd46 has a legitimate gripe. To me, "mutual touch" means that you can touch him anywhere. And touch doesn't mean inside your mouth. You usually have to ask politely for that, unless it's obvious.

And here I've been considering an appointment with this guy!

Actually, I'm glad to learn he's talented as a masseur. That comes first and foremost for me. Besides, I sometimes find it a little awkward to grab a masseur's penis...more so if it's flaccid.

(I suddenly become all embarrassed and anxious and feel totally unwanted. I'm crazy.)

I feel the same way when it's flaccid... And his was. But I guess I wanted to give it the old college try.

If you really want to know how much mutual touch is allowed or what it means, talk to people who have hired the masseur. Private them. They will tell you all you need to know in private before you book. I won't say everything here but in private I pretty much "tell all." My view has always been If you don't want me to touch the sausage, then don't show it, and don't have it dangling near my face! Simple.

He definitely gives a good therapeutic massage. Better than most advertisers on the m4m sites. The sensual part is as the original poster described. Pretty limited. Overall, a fine experience. He used pretty much the whole hour too. Only downside is he has a bit of a prissy/bitchy attitude.
