So I ordered this huge thing of flowers for my mom. I asked her to snap me a picture.

I'm NOT happy. It looks like a huge bouquet of leafs. It was suppose to be all roses, orchids, carnations and this purple tiger Lily that would take your breath.

They told me they Send fresh flowers, these are so fresh they won't even be blossomed on mothers day. My mom is very happy with them but I'm not. No one is going to treat your mother like you! I'm going back to hand picking and delivering my flowers.

I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining but honestly, that is super frustrating.

Ordering flowers can be tricky. The next time you visit your mother go to a local florist. Hopefully your mother or someone else can recommend a good one. Order some flowers and tell then exactly what you want. When you return to pick them up make damn sure they are exactly what you want. If they aren’t have them redo the arrangement. At that point inform them that you will, in the future, continue to order flowers for your mother AS LONG AS THEY ARE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT. Ordering flowers on line or through FTD is just asking for disappointment.

call them and let them know. offer to send them the picture. they will either refund your money 100% or send you a new order.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Send the photo, too.

Using a local florist whose premises you visit works if you're in the area when you order the bouquet, but I'm not sure Brian was. Visiting the florist can give you a sense of the quality of their work, but it's still not foolproof. If you like sending flowers, finding a local florist who does a good job and calling them if you're out of town is your best bet.

I stopped using tele-florists years ago, they all suck. I've had numerous problems. If you ordered from 1-800 or Teleflora, or FTD, check back with them. They all have a satisfaction guaranteed policy and will refund your money, albeit reluctantly. Don't take no for an answer. If you utilized a local florist, check with them too for a satisfaction guarantee.

I now use a wonderful group called UrbanStems here in NYC and Washington, DC.

They are excellent. Same day delivery, satisfaction guaranteed, and they snap a pic at the front door of the deliveree to notify you the flowers have been delivered. They are also very reasonable without any service charges or delivery fees.

I'm sorry I have no energy for this. My suitcase was lost on my travels. Even if you keep your karma clean, you still have trials and tribulations. I'm done going through shit. Lost all my dress cloths, underwear, favorite jeans and sweatshirt. As angry as I was, I thanked everyone kept it civil-- kept in mind it was mothers day. But, Brian's gonna have to go shopping to buy all new everything.

Happy Mothers Day everyone.

I'm regretting to say, spring 2016 has not been my friend. Work, friend and family I'm doing so good. The tooth, my suitcase, the issue with Kimpton Hotel. I'm so anal and OCD about things, I like things a certain way, I can't live like a slob (only eat like one) so how do these petty things keep happening? MARSHALLS law, fact or fiction... Do we believe in something we can't see? Do YOU believe in something you can't see?

I sacrificed church to travel last night/today, so in turn I must wonder if he's calling me. Like "Brian you dumb bitch you missed church on Mother's day"! Regardless of what ever the actual reason, I'm going to have to do two things.

1.) Focus on work 110%

2.) GO SHOPPING (Like a broke college student on a Ramen noodle binge) usually shopping excites me. This however is a day of mourning. Not only did I lose my FAVORITE jeans and A-Symmetrical hoodie AND my white jeans I bought for after labor day, my pride out fits (very masculine ;) no really tough )

2 weeks and I'll have an better wardrobe ready to destroy the world in! I would like to take this time to offer to sell my soon to be new product, it's handcuffs but instead of cuffing yourself together you cuff yourself to your suitcase (and or cute Boys who yell no for whatever reason) so you don't lose them. Nobody will try and sit with you either, cause you look crazy, no more taking to yourself or rocking back and fourth to achieve sitting alone.

Farewell

I had a disappointing experience with an online flower seevice. Product did not match picture. Like some escort ads I see. Lol

White Jeans ? NO NEVA.... they always show yellow pee drip stains, especially if you go Commando, and don't get me started on those skid marks.... Plus, they always make you look like an Ice-cream man...

NO BUENO

I have found the best way to deal with bad service is to tweet about it. Include the company's customer service account, the CEO, and the main twitter feed. I have had excellent results doing this. I had a problem with my health insurance carrier that had been unresolved for months. 1 tweet and I had a response within 30 minutes and the problem was resolved in less than a week.

Consumer Reports had a big article on ordering flowers for Mother's Day in their recent May issue (pages 26-29). They rated three flower-delivery services: ProFlowers, FTD, and 1-800-Flowers. FTD got the best score and ProFlowers got the worse. Consumer Reports says that if you are not happy with your flowers you should: Get a picture from your mother of the flowers and "Call the company you ordered them from to complain if you or your mother is dissatisfied with a delivery. All three companies we ordered from will replace your flowers or refund your money if you're not satisfied. All three also provide the same options if their flowers don't last for seven days."

Sorry so many things suck right now, @Brian Kevin I'm going through one of those seasons too. But, if you are healthy, can afford to eat and have family that loves you, you are more blessed than most. Focus on what's important. Wish I was there to drown in that bathtub with you...

Agree on the issues with sending flowers. I have sent live plants in the past, which I think is better. They last and you can tell them exactly what kind of plant and the size so there's no guesswork. I have even sent a tree to be planted in the yard when comforting someone in the event of a death/loss.

The good news is, it's Monday!

I'm staying positive. In 90 days they will "compensate" me for my lost bag

My mom sent me a pic of the flowers and I'm pretty impressed. What a ratchet present to have prior to now. It filled it quite nice. They should warn you it's hideous at first.

NEXT TIME: "PLASTIC". They stay beautiful forever (and if you spray them with Febreeze, your whole house smells like a garden)

I'm glad it turned out and I love it that you said "ratchet" - haha.

It is better to get a bouquet of buds that is beautiful in a day or so than a bunch that are already bloomed out.

And I hope someone is kidding about plastic flowers unless you're an 80 year old woman in a trailer park ;)
