As I posterd previously, an illness kept me anorgasmic for several weeks. That was a personal record. I was happy to end that streak and in the last few weeks things have been looking up while some friends of mine have been going down.

Unfortunately, I wound up in the hospital for a short time, and although all tests were good, I am headed for a cardiac catheterization tomorrow. I hope this does not lead to my being unable to travel to Palm Springs at the end of the week.

I feel that it is likely that all will be well, but in case I am gone, for awhile or more, I would like to thank you all for the entertainment and education and support and camaraderie. Being a member of this site has been a pleasure. A pleasure I expect to continue, but one I would hate to leave without expressing my gratitude.

I will post again when I am able. Hopefully tomorrow.

Been there. Done that. Twice!! It's a weird experience at least the first time. You'll be sedated but awake. People will grope at your groin which should be nothing new for one of our most prolific posters. The hardest part is the extended rigid immobility afterward.

But after you'll feel great. At least until you get your hospital's cardiac diet which is food devoid of salt and taste. If you end up with a stent you'll be on blood thinners for ever and will bruise every time some one looks at you without smiling.

I had a neighbor in NYC who had 7 stents.

Let we your fans know how it went.

Have also gone thorough it twice. G56whiz is correct it can be a little weird. Both time I had to "assist" by turning, holding my breath, etc. After I needed to lie flat for about 6 hours so the collagen plug in my leg would hold. You will have a multi colored bruise to share with everyone in Palm Springs.

PK, we haven't met but by going by your many years of posting here on the board I'd bet my bottom dollar you're one smart and tough cookie and will come out a ok! Don't be a stubborn oaf like me, get your rest and take care of the one that matters most, YOU! Sending you some big hugs and spicy Latin kisses for a speedy recovery!

Hugs,

Greg

You know how much you mean to me, my guide, my rock, my friend. I WILL meet you face to face. If not in PS, then in your town soon. At our age friends are becoming fewer, and, I'm sorry, I need you on my friends list so you simply have to get well. I has spoken!!!!!!!!.

That's us saying "Get well and cum to Palm Springs" in cow talk.

We had several fields of cows, almost in our back yard when I was growing up.

Perfect moos, Steven.

I just got home from the hospital and wanted to write and thank you all for your good wishes.

It turns out I had a dissection of the left anterior descending coronary artery which was actively tearing as they did the cardiac catheterization. There was a large blood clot in the vessel but only 50% blocked but that was rapidly progressing as well.

My cardiologist tells me he has never seen this situation with this happening spontaneously and without permanent damage to the heart. I did not have any permanent damage and I had two stents and a road to recovery which will keep me out of Palm Springs this year.

I hope you all have a great time.

I will be thinking about you on Saturday, but not for too long, as I am no to overexcite myself.

I feel very lucky. My cardiologist tells me 10 to 15 minutes was the difference between this outcome and possibly a fatal one. I think he is a drama queen.

Thanks for your kind good wishes and I look forward to Palm Springs 2017.

Seeing the word "dissection" in relation to the heart made me think of John Ritter. I'm glad yours is a story with a much better ending, purplekow.

Great to hear that you are home and on a path to recovery. Spoil yourself (in heart-healthy ways, of course) and best wishes for the days ahead.
