Even though I know that $300 is different in the four countries, I'm inclined to consider $300 to be the fair price for an hour regardless of the country, and higher or lower numbers being about the city rather than the country. I've thought that when the AUD/USD rate is 68c or $1.00.

Fully agreed. Especially when the US ones travels and quote the same rate, so their $300 is now for the payer$400+......so just a different perspective ;-)
