I like it because of the long space of time between the two paintings. Very different painters but somehow it works, at least for me.

 

Most of all, it serves as a good break about half way through a museum!

It looks like fun. Similar to The Pageant of the Masters in Laguna Beach, Ca:

They have "living pictures" with actors in the paintings. Makes for a fun evening with great narration and music.

The San Diego Museum of Art holds an annual fundraiser called "Art Alive." Paintings from the permanent collection are interpreted in flowers.

The museum is somewhat "meh" but that event is just spectacular.

For me, the question is not usually is it art? But is it bad or good art?

 

In this case, I don't really think it's art. It's simply imitation.

 

I won't argue against you. But it's still pretty cool. I'm not even sure how they did it exactly.
