I think it is entirely appropriate for him to be classified as "retired" without him making the request, as he is not and will likely never be in a position where he can escort again. Reviews are typically not removed upon an escort retiring, so I see no reason why his review should be removed. Were Daddy to change his review removal policy across the board I could see the review being removed.

Kudos to Daddy for posting the link to the Bo Dean gofundme campaign. That campaign will provide Bo a direct benefit by collecting funds that can help him make a better life for himself in light of his grave injuries. Removing the review would not do that.

I think it's a case by case decision. I can see an escort who has numerous scathing reviews saying he has retired and setting up shop again (possibly under a new nom de lit) as soon as the reviews come down. In this case it's unlikely that the guy will be back in business and there would be no harm in giving him a break and removing the review.

If an escort LEAVES the business, then could someone explain why reviews are retained of a person who no longer provides that service?

Because many of them return.

Especially the scammers.

If the reviews are deleted then they are free to rinse, repeat, and perpetuate their scam ad infinitum.

Often, a "retired" escort comes back into the business and the old reviews can be helpful, especially the negative ones and the escort's response (the responses are often the best indication of the escort's actions). So definitely leave "retired" escort reviews up as a general rule.

If the "retired" reviews are left up, then all of them need to be there as part of the historical record. Why whitewash the record?

Now, this case brings up the question that is an escort is permanently disabled (or if one is dead), should the old reviews be left up. That is solely Daddy's decision (as Mel Brooks said: "It's good to be king."). My own view is that if an escort is confirmed permanently disabled or dead, the reviews can be removed.

It is great that Daddy posted the information for those who want to help Bo Dean. A great move.

I agree that he should be marked as retired. I do not think that reviews in general should be ever be removed. They are part of the escort's history. As others have mentioned I find them helpful if the escort makes a triumphant return. In the specific case, I think there is no harm in removing the review that seems to be causing the distress (the others remain) UNLESS it was a review that contained a complaint for bodily harm.
