Now, an even dumber question. Why would someone use fake pics or create a fake ad? Wouldn't they realize that a) people will discover it advance and not hire, or b) someone would hire and then have them leave if they weren't what was represented.

That's a whole set of issues. Perhaps they use other people's pics for "discretion" or they do it because those other people look hotter or who knows?

 

Some clients would walk away if the person they meet isn't a match for their pics. But, many others would go ahead with the hire if the person they meet is "close enough."
