Christmas Plans?

I'm on my way downtown to grab coffee from one of the hotels. Everything is closed. I wish I was working one of my day jobs so that that it'd feel kind of like a normal day. But unfortunately one is closed today and the other my Mgr is working. I have my availability set on RM so hopefully I'll have something to do to occupy my time on the blah day.

I'm thawing lobster tails and have made a red sauce for mussels. Dinner for 1, but I'm going all out. Mango sorbet to cleanse the palate!

I've had the most relaxing day -- I don't even mind anymore that it is so ridiculously warm for Christmas Day in NYC lol

 

Just lounged around this morning, made the calls to the family here and overseas and was actually thinking of a pre-brunch nap when my brunch mate rang to see if I was able to come to his before we went out. Hmmm...I hoped I knew where this was going when I said yes - and I did. I should offer, I've known my mate nearly 15 years and yes, I've "known" him through the years on occasion as well, though admittedly its been a couple of years since our last encounter. We like what the other has on offer - he likes bigger, beefy, hairy, white guys like me, I like athletic/muscley guys like him - and we work well together I suppose. A very welcome Christmas surprise of some Latin sabor today for BBD! Definitely worked up an appetite for brunch!

 

Relaxing at home now - still full from brunch so Chinese food will come later. Supposed to be meeting up with the usual Friday gang later for gifts and drinks so that should be fun. I wonder if I can squeeze in a nap before? Hmmm...

Well, BBD, this is music to my ears...luv this xmas action - I'm speaking of the food of course When I spend the holidays in NYC, I've noticed boys get even friskier. I've also noticed that when there are snow storms or tragic events...there is this massive movement for folks to just jump in bed quicker. Maybe just my imagination!

I must confess I've yet to make sorbet but I have made a yummy coconut and pineapple ice cream. The ricotta and candied lemon ice cream came out pretty good and got the seal of approval from my fancy pants NYC chef last Xmas.

Was nice clearing out the cobwebs and such lol As I said, I've known him a long time - gone out as mates, gone on vacations together, have had some very hot sex together and with others (which can be tricky given our tastes don't really overlap - but we've made adjustments as needed lol) - so we know what works, what the other likes, etc. - it was an easy way to dip more than my toe back in the mansex lol

It is unseasonably warm in NYC today I spent 5 hours on the road. I was driving to my brother's home from NJ to LI and was stuck in traffic. So much fog on the roads that the speed limit was dropped to 35 and there were still many fender benders and an accident of the Verranzano Bridge backed up traffic from the Bridge to the Outer Bridge Crossing and then into NJ. I made an honest attempt to get there, but after 3.5 hours I turned around and spent another 1.5 hours driving back. Total distance covered in 5 hours, about 55 miles. Listened to a Pop Station on the Sirius radio which did a countdown of the year's top 45 songs. Nothing classy but very catchy. #1 Walk the Moon Shut up and Dance with Me. Wish you were in LA @BtmBearDad, you are a hoot. We have a shopping daytrip planned here and you'd be a welcome addition. About 10 of us hit stores, flirt, laugh, and buy stuff we donate to the LGBT center. The cool thing is that we are all different shapes and sizes, sothe center gets a variety of donations.
