IMHO, this is a very serious case. He wasn't just caught feeling himself under the black robe. This was blatant manipulation, including a penis pump, and went on for months. In addition, he fired at least 2 employees when he found out they were going to be witnesses.

 

Do we need that kind of judge on the bench?

I live in Oklahoma City . . . what can I say. Of course, on the local news here very few details of the accusations were provided. I was shocked when I clicked on the Reuters link above that this guy is in Oklahoma! Actually, I shouldn't have been . . . in the center of the new concourse in the OKC airport is a "sculpture" of a buffalo with airplane wings attached to his back and wearing a flight helmet. His name is Wiley the Flying Buffalo. Welcome to Oklahoma.

If the allegations are true, I think the judge needs psychiatric treatment immediately. It would probably also be best if all of his past judgments were reviewed.

 

I just hope he wasn't gay.

I hadn't really thought about the possibility that previous judgments could be affected by his behavior! This could be a real mess for the courts and result in expensive re-trials for the state.

I agree with you, Hoover, I really hope this nutcase isn't found to be "living the gay lifestyle", as I am sure it will be noted by the small-town media if it is true. That kind of "exposure" will really help the gay movement in places like Oklahomo, huh?

If masturbation is grounds for psychiatric treatments, then I suppose at least 99% of the entire population of the world needs to be analyzed! If such pyschiatric evaluation is "limited" to those who masturbate in public arenas, then I surmise that reduces it to 70% of the population in need of "immediate pyschiatric treatment"!

Why? Are gays any different from heterosexuals or bisexuals as far as masturbation goes? Or even as far as public sexual activities go? Engaging in either activity is CERTAINLY not limited to gays!

Judge Gets 4 Years for Exposing Himself

BRISTOW, Okla.

 

A former judge convicted of exposing himself while presiding over jury trials by using a sexual device under his robe was sentenced Friday to four years in prison.

 

Donald Thompson had spent almost 23 years on the bench and had served as a state legislator before retiring from the court in 2004. He showed no reaction when he was sentenced.

 

At his trial this summer, his former court reporter, Lisa Foster, testified that she saw Thompson expose himself at least 15 times during trial between 2001 and 2003. Prosecutors said he also used a device known as a penis pump during at least four trials in the same period.

 

Thompson, 59, was convicted last month of four felony courts of indecent exposure for incidents that took place in his Creek County courtroom.

While I agree he should have been removed as a Judge, disbarred and punished, 4 years in the pen seems inappropriate. But I don't suppose he will serve all that.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Cook County prosecutors say a 29-year-old man traveling with his mother desperately didn't want her to know he'd packed a sexual aid for their trip to Turkey. So he told security it was a bomb, officials said.

 

Madin Azad Amin was stopped by officials on Aug. 16 after guards found an object in his baggage that resembled a grenade, prosecutors said.

 

When officers asked him to identify it, Amin said it was a bomb, said Cook County Assistant State's Attorney Lorraine Scaduto.

 

He later told officials he'd lied about the item because his mother was nearby and he didn't want her to hear that it was part of a penis pump, Scaduto said.

 

He's been charged with felony disorderly conduct, said Andrew Conklin, a spokesman with the Cook County state's attorney's office.

 

Amin faces up to three years in prison if convicted.
