I suspect this will be a tragedy of massive proportions.

 

A small town, population 600 or so, took the direct hit. It's a beach community in a perfectly bowl-shaped harbor. There won't be much left after the storm surge chugs into a harbor perfectly shaped to funnel the surge over the town.

 

I heard a report from a travel journalist who had been in Vallarta but was evacuated to Guadalajara. She said locals were not leaving. It won't end well.

Well, I think we all know now that Patricia entered land over 100 miles south of Puerto Vallarta. Apart from an inch of rain, PV didn't really get anything from this storm. I also happen to know that Steven Kesslar is not currently in PV.

The UA and AA IRROPS alone is going to be a nightmare.
