This is my 7,000th post and it will be the last for several months. Nothing serious, but doing a lot of traveling and decided to leave my computer at home. Hope the best for all of you. I have enjoyed the Forum for several years.

It's good to get away sometimes...sometimes I find being home makes me post more, but when I'm traveling I just don't have time to keep up. Plus, the hotels usually have cable so I can satisfy my debate bug by watching HLN and my favorite shows.

 

Sometimes a vacation should be a vacation from everything routine and familiar.

Leaving your computer? I went on an overnight trip with some old friends a few days ago. We were gone 23 1/2 hours, and one remarked about 20 minutes into the trip that he felt naked without his computer. He did spend a lot of the drive on his phone with people from work.

When I travel I never yearn for the computer; I have a cell phone but only use it when I am away from my land line; otherwise, a sojourn is just that: rest, revel, relaxation, recreation, the enjoyment of culture and others, sharing, and...!!!
