"I'm leaving the Board forever"

Very common message posted to messageboards.

Normally posted by a disgruntled user when upset and wanting attention.

While someone who posts such a message will sometimes mean it and will never again go to that board after posting such a message, usually once they calm down, they'll come back and will be posting as though they never posted it.

On some messageboards, such messages are so common and/or posted by certain users so much that people have learned to automatically ignore them.

...that's kind of a wimpy grand exit! :rolleyes: I think Joey Bryant has done it better, and more than once...

Joey never actually says "goodbye"--or, if he does, what he really means is until I see you again (under a different name).

Don't feel bad Latbear. I've been a member for years, and I didn't realize until relatively recently that Mocha was previously Joey Bryant (an escort out of Denver who used to post under the Joey Bryant moniker. He may now be advertising as Jabari Blaine. ). In my defense, I didn't look at that many of Mocha's posts.

Addendum: I didn't realize he had changed his name again to Jamahl Brandon. It's very strange. Escorts usually change names because they are shady escorts/scammers of some type. Joey always had good reviews here on Daddys. Is it possible outside Daddys a lot of his clients aren't happy with him?

Good news, Gman ... they are easily summarized:

(1.) There is not a single village, suburb, city, state or hotel chain that is good for escorts anymore;

(2.) Everybody cancels;

(3.) It is NOT Joey/Jabari/Jamahl/Mocha/Etc.'s fault.

You are now TOTALLY up-to-date.

Not quite. :D

(4.) All this bad shit happens to me because I'm black..:oops:. (there, I've said) Just wanted to make sure this thread goes on for the next 5 days. Goody, another thread on racism...everyone start typing.

I just cannot believe that a departure announcement has generated so many posts... we all must be desperate for communications !! How sad... I don't even know why someone would announce their departure with so few posts in five years...

Bigvalboy I'm totally off topic with this post but I don't give a damn. I absolutely loved the Evita/Madonna clip you posted. Evita Peron was one of the most interesting and fascinating women of the twentieth century. I majored in Latin American History, as an undergraduate, and actually did my senior paper on her. I have NEVER been a big fan of Madonna’s but I have to give her credit – she absolutely nailed the role of Eva Peron. She portrayed Evita’s gestures perfectly. When she stood in from of Jonathan Pryce, playing Juan Peron, with her hand resting tenderly on his chest looking adoring up at him it was classic Evita Peron. Bravo Madonna Wonderful!!!!!

When in PS for the party, I enjoyed the company of Alec Andrews. As we were walking back from dinner he was singing and was overheard by some men sitting in the courtyard. He stopped when someone said something, thinking I imagine, that he was disturbing them. They then urged him to continue and I nodded agreement. With that, as we ascended the stairs to my room, he stopped and sang "Dont Cry for me Argentina" from the balcony to the rather small but enthusiastic throng below As he accepted their applause we walked off to my room. I am not sure, but out of the corner of my eye, I believe he did a Queen Elizabeth wave to a man with a slight tear in his eye. Fuck Madonna's version. I say, Alec's is the gold standard. Of course,I may be prejustice as I did get to go home with star.

While Eva Peron makes for a good musical, she is far from the most fascinating woman of the 20th century. I would go with Benazir Bhutto; Golda Meir; Margret Thatcher; Sandra Day O'Connor and of course Ru Paul.

Purplekow I said and I quote, "Evita Peron was one of the most interesting and fascinating women of the twentieth century." Thus I said "one of the most" not the most and I'll stick to that statement.

If you consider women like Eleanor Roosevelt, Golda Meir, Indira Gandhi, Benazir Bhutto Margaret Thatcher, Sandra Day O’Conner, and Queen Elizabeth II they are all women who came from powerful political families and or from societies that allowed women to achieve political power. That is definitely NOT true in the case of Eva Peron. She came from nothing and achieved something no other woman in Latin America had ever done. She was the strength, the power and the brains of the pair. Within a year of her death Juan Peron was overthrown and living in exile. She is still remembered and revered by huge numbers of people in Argentina today. Without Evita Peron, Violeta Barrios Torres de Chamorro in Nicaragua, Michelle Bachelet Jeria in Chile, Isabel Peron and Isabel Martinez in Argentina, and Dilma Rousseff in Brazil would have had a much more difficult time achieving the positions they did. Eva Peron was the mold breaker who opened up a whole new world, of political power, for women in Latin America

I am in agreement and have always felt from our first meating that Alec is always quite an impressive performer! :D Sorry I missed his balcony performance! :(
